Will Gionee elife s5.5 ROMS work for the Blu Vivo IV?

Okay I can only ask this here, which makes it seem out of place to me but here goes. I have the Blu Vivo IV, apparently it is the same phone as the Gionee elife s5.5. The same root methods and the like appear to work according to this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/andr...4-4-2-t2854480 so my question is does the same hold true for ROMs? I downloaded an unofficial port of Cyanogenmod from http://www.blu-dev.com/ but the zip is labelled for the Gionee s5.5. My worry is that there will be just a tiny difference in the hardware, requiring different drivers. Has anyone tried this, that would be able to tell me if this ROM is safe to use on my Vivo IV, as I don't want to lose a phone I have just purchased.
