Trying to root Fonepad 7 (FE375CL / K01Q)

Hey all, my proximity sensor is super broken and I don't want to RMA it, so I'm attempting to root my phone and disable the sensor with Xposed. Sadly, I can't find anything to root it with.

I have tried Kingo Root, but it didn't work. Same with Framaroot. Any ideas? thanks :)
