I've yet to see this mentioned, anywhere, so, here goes.
A brief lesson for those who need it. You always want to charge at the fastest speed available. In the days of old, phones charged at under .5 amps. Then most smartphones hung out at 1 amp for a while. 2 amps became a thing and now we have (qualcomm certified) Quick charging 2.0 which is technically only 2 amps but does some magic with the voltage to give you a huge boost. (I know, 3.0 is coming)
Wireless charging came into being at some point and has always lagged behind regular chargers. First they were under 1 amp. But they've caught up to 2 amps.
External Batteries are becoming way more popular. 2 amp models have been out for a while.
Here's some things I've seen discussed. Products that you may not know about. Things I think of as Tier 2.
I'm going to list them in order of how much mindshare I think they have most to least.
1)You can but very cheap Quickcharge chargers. Every company makes them. Check Amazon.
2)A few companies make fast charging external battery packs. You get shafted on the price to mAh ratio but in my opinion they're worth it because you want to top off as fast as possible, you don't want to carry it around the whole day.
3) Again a few companies make external battery packs that charge wirelessly which is pretty incredible. No wires. The markup is also going to be pretty high, but again, convenience.
4)Samsung makes a Fast charging AND wireless charger. 70 bucks. Extreme ripoff but as far as I can tell and please correct me if I'm wrong, it's unique. No one else makes it. Incredible. Maybe it's because it'll only fast charge the Samsung devices. I don't know.
And, here's the reason for my entire post:
5) This thing combines everything. It's a PORTABLE battery pack. It charges WIRELESSLY. It uses FAST CHARGING. It combines everything.
One sleek little device that you can carry with you. It'll charge your device, fast with no cables.
It's 70 bucks for 5,400 mah which is an astounding ripoff. You need to make the decision whether or not you NEED this or not for 70 dollars.
SAVE SOME MONEY.
Tmobile has a 30 percent off accesories coupon code (RMNSAVE30) Which brings it under . Still a ripoff but a more digestible ripoff.
Here's the thing though, Even though it should give you free shipping (on orders of accessories over 20 dollars, which this is) Once you add the coupon code, the system wants to charge you 6 bucks for shipping at the final step of the order process. So, if you have a t-mobile account, call, tell them the problem, and they'll give you a credit on your bill (whether or not you actually order it). I got a 10 dollar credit.
I hope this info helps somebody. Please be nice when you're commenting. Don't troll me please. If I've come off as arrogant that wasn't my intent.
Here's some link to the Item I'm talking about.
