I've tried to search for this issue in the forum but it seems that nobody ever encountered it.
I'm running the rooted stock ROM 5.1.1 on a Nexus 4 (LMY47V) that I've updated since the initial version using always OTA downloads. My provider is T-Mobile USA.
Recently, I keep receiving a notification for a system update that looks a bit weird to me.
The update should be from 5.0.1 (LRX22C) to 5.1.0 (LMY47O), but I'm wondering why I would get it if I'm already running a newer version.
The full path of the download file [1] has a hash that doesn't match any of the original images, but I don't know if this is necessarily a bad thing (since it's just an update and not a complete install).
Initially I tried to update because I didn't know it was the wrong update, but (lucklily?) it didn't succeed so I investigated a bit. I had a few issues in the past with other OTA's failing because the system was rooted, but I managed to decompress and manually install the single components. Although, I don't think I want to do it in this case, because of the version mismatch.
Does anybody has a clue about what's going on?
Also, since I suspect that this update is useless, is there a way to silence or delete this update without installing it?
Thanks in advance.
