Steelseries Stratus on Galaxy S6 Edge +

I recently switched back to android since they've upped their build quality so much and I've been trying to map some controls to touch actions for games. I currently have a steelseries stratus controller and I've been able to get it to pair but not to connect! Posting to see if anyone else has this or has a solution. I'm rooted if that could help.
