Signal Strength Terrible on G2. Solutions?

I recently moved my SIM to my new G2 and the signal is terrible on the G2. I used to get 89-95dBm on my old LG F6 and on the G2 I'm getting 111-115dBm and missing texts and calls over half the time. Is there any solution to this? Maybe flashing a different modem/PRL/baseband?
