[Q] Shouldn't I Be Getting LTE (Among Other Weird Things)

Hello, Galaxy S3 community! Recently ordered my SGH T999 T-Mobile S3 through Amazon from a marchant named Cell2U4Less new and unlocked (although I will be using it with T-Mobile, it is nice to have an unlocked device in case I need to switch). The phone arrived yesterday about a week after the order was placed, and well... it isn't exactly "new". Besides the headphone jack not working, visible screen burn-in from a previous owner, and its battery not quite fitting in the slot, I've noticed some other odd things about this phone that perhaps a more experienced T-Mobile S3 user can clear up:

1) Shouldn't I be getting LTE? I've only been able to achieve HSPA+ on it at most. According to GSMArena, the T-Mobile T999 variant supports LTE. Yes I do know that there is a non LTE S3 variant, but that variant only has 1.5GB of RAM. When I went into my S3's settings it listed over 1.8GB RAM. The Amazon listing itself didn't list it as LTE or non-LTE, so I have nothing to go off of from there.

2) The sticker that came on the phone's screen as well as CPU hardware listing apps stated this phone was quad-core. According to the website above, it is only supposed to be dual core.

On account of the defective details listed above I will be sending it back, as the listing I paid for was NEW. But with regard to the LTE and CPU, is this normal? I definitely received a T-Mobile S3, because in About Phone it was listed as a T999.
