One M9 Feels Loudly Uinspiring?

I'm not talking about the speakers :), although, they're awesome. I came from using the M7 for a year, and deemed the M9 as a worthy upgrade. I've been with HTC for three years, and just couldn't choose any other phone because of my loyalty to HTC, despite reviews of the M9 that sang choirs of mediocrity. I have to say, after using the M9 for three weeks, I'm not overly impressed. Yes, it's beautiful and the speakers are magnificent; but, I strongly feel that I'm not missing out on much from the M7.

The same usual problem still lurks within HTC's flagships; poor battery life. I'm aware of the unimpressive camera but I'm not a 'camera' person, so the camera is not important to me. In conclusion, I'm not impressed, and I've already listed my M9 for sale on eBay. I felt quite emotional when I sent off my M7 because it was my Buddy. Should've hung on for longer...
