:::BREAKING NEWS:::
Z5C has an option now to check/un-check OEM Unlock (bootloader)
(tap mutiple times on buildnumber in 'about phone' and go to 'developer options')
Seems like we now have an option to preserve the DRM stuff after unlocking the BL
But Z5 family isn't listed on the Sony developer site yet, so i can't confirm.
Maybe a new structure is on the way, codeless unlocking via fastboot maybe?
Security check *#*#7378423#*#* shows, 'Marlin_Test', & 'Widevine_Test' as OK (Active) after activation of 'OEM Unlocking'
But again it's to early days, hence BL probably needs to be in unlocked state, before above rule shows.
Anyway.. If i've understood correctly, then it's a gamechanger, meaning Sony has heard the Devs @ XDA
