Note 4 - n910x - how to flash rom etc



Hi.

I'm new here, and wondered if anyone have upgraded a note 4 demo-unit. n910x

...And what do I have to download/do to fix it

    Hi.
    If you are on kitkat, it's easy.
    1ºFlash the n910f lollipop firmware.
    2º Root it
    3º Install a recovery.
    4º aFTER you can install any custom software you want.

    But you can not update it for 5.1.1, don't know why,

    To flash the firmware, you must download an application named Odin 3.10. Open it, go to the AP botton, and put on it the firmware file.
    After, you need to put the note 4 in download mode: to do that, press the volume-, and the on and the home bottons together. Confirm you want to download, and put the phone cable in the computer.
    The odin program will recognize your phone.
    Then, press the start botton on Odin, and it will flash the firmware.
    When finished, the phone will reboot, and voilà.
    Pay attention that you have the note 4 drivers on your computer.

    To root the firmware, do the same process:
    1º Download the root file for n910f
    2º Open Odin, put on the AP the file
    3º Put your phone on download mode
    4º phone cable on computer
    5º Start Odin
    6º Wait til the process is finished and the phone is rebooted.

    To put the recovery, same thing:
    Download the last recovery for n910f, open Odin, put the file on AP, etc.

    And then, you can flash any lollipop custom rom via recovery.
