In conventional Linux installations, the package system has a mechanism through which one can set specific packages to not be upgraded when a command to "upgrade all" is issued. I can't seem to find some similar mechanism for Android. I don't want to run the risk of accidentally doing an "upgrade all" on my phone and end up updating a particular app to the latest which happens to be nasty and unusable.
