Hello guys.
I have read almost all XDA forums (almost really!). I was looking (like thousands of people here and there) for a clear information about:
- Which models of Note5 are supporting which LTE bands
- Which models of Note5 have category 9 LTE and which ones are category 6 LTE.
Because, yes, copy paste all around the web ("cat 9 or cat 6 depending on the market") thanks for this information, but which markets are we talking about?
I am just shocked about how confusing all this is. Amazing. Anyway, personally, I was looking for ideally a dual sim supporting LTE band 20 and if possible cat 9 modem.
One month on intense search, I ended with a single SIM SM-920C. I thought that buying it would make things clearer. Baaaa nothing. I still do not know PRECISELY and OFFICIALLY which LTE bands this model supports. I took it anyway because as an international unlocked model, this is the one that is supposed to be widely compatible.
So, guys, I am not a technical guy. But as now I have it on hands, and as I really spent hours and night browsing the web, I am willing to give you all necessary information about it. I bought it in Morocco where it is officially available. But I am note covered by any LTE band. I know that some codes can tell you on which LTE band you currently are, but not being covered at a precise time by a LTE band does not mean that the device is not compatible with this band.
So I am willing, if that helps, to perform any test to let you know what you would like, if someone interested, as I would have loved finding someone with same questions.
;)
