Stupid of me to do knowing the risk but I rooted my ASUS Zenfone 2 and everything was fine until I started playing around with an app called "LuckyPatcher". I was attempting to learn a few things about Android Rooting and all the things you can do with it. So I attempted to install an alternate Play Store and something must have went wrong because the actual Play Store was uninstalled from the phone and the alternate one was not put up in it's place... then after that I was getting a system message that read "com.google.process.gapps" and each time I hit OK to dismiss the message it would just pop right back up and would not go away. I tried clearing the Play Services Cache, Download Manager Cache and all of that but to no success, I was forced to restore my phone to factory settings but that's where things got worse...
After restoring it to factory settings, I was unable to get past the initial set up and the same message reading "com.google.process.gapps" continued to pop up again and again. I went on to try and go into recovery mode on the phone and when I did, the little Android guy would pop up for a second then instead of continuing the recovery process it just read "error" with the little Android guy laying on his side... I believe my phone is bricked and I can't figure out how to fix it and I would rather not reach out to ASUS about the problem, anyone have any Ideas? Anything would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
