how to downgrade zte zmax (metropcs) to 4.4.2

I am trying to root my zte zmax with king root. The problem is that when I try to use king user it says service unavailable. I think the problem is.because I am on 4.4.4. How do I downgrade to 4.4.2. Thank you for all your help
