Hi guys,
I have an issue with my rooted Galaxy Note 3 (SM-N9005). When I make or receive a call, I can hear the caller perfectly, but they can't hear me or can barely hear me. I have tried the mic in a sound recorder app and it works just fine, however not when making a call, unless it is on speaker in which case it works ok. So given this, I know the MIC is working OK. I have gone through hours of searching for a fix and none seem to work. I have BuildpropEditor and have looked for the lines to boost mic volume, however they do not exist. I cannot use the Engineer mode (*#*#3646633#*#*) as this does nothing, I think it was disabled in the update and when I use an app (MTK Engineering mode) to access it, it gives a 'No such app' or 'Cannot find Engineer App' error (or something to that effect).
Also the Testing Menu (*#*#4636#*#*) does not appear, Service mode (*#*#197328640#*#*) does nothing, There is no MIC test in *#0*# and also no MIC test in *#0011#*.
As mentioned above, I have read somewhere that you can edit a certain line with BuildpropEditor, however the lines they say to edit do not exist on my unit. I came across this:
The problem is due to the noise detection of qualcomm fluence for really fix it root your rom and in in /system/build.prop replace this two line :
ro.qc.sdk.audio.fluencetype=fluence
persist.audio.fluence.voicecall=true
With this:
ro.qc.sdk.audio.ssr=false
ro.qc.sdk.audio.fluencetype=fluence
persist.audio.fluence.mode=endfire
persist.audio.handset.mic=digital
persist.audio.voicecall.mic=0
persist.audio.voice.clarity=none
persist.audio.aanc.enable=false
persist.audio.handset_rx_type=DEFAULT
persist.audio.nsenabled=ON
persist.speaker.prot.enable=false
persist.audio.spkcall_2mic=OFF
Now half of those lines do not exist so I can not try this approach. I do not really want to do a complete reset as I have seen in my searching that it does not fix the issue. Any help on this is greatly appreciated.
