Fastboot issue

Phone: LG Optimus L90 (D415) with stock Lollipop

I hit a snag while going through this guide:

After holding up on the volume and plugging in the usb cable to access fastboot, the screen just hangs with the text shown below. Any help would be much appreciated, and I apologize if the solution is something easily found on the forum.
