I recently bought the Xperia-Z3-Compact second hand and was angry about how bad the battery life was, usually I had to recharge twice a day! I searched around for answers and the mobile data active bug seemed to be the culprit. since there is no fix I found this little trick to boost the battery a bit until we get Android M.
I am on 5.1.1 without root or unlocked bootloader
So basically as the title says, let the battery drain completely and then put it on the charger, don't start the phone. When it is 100% start the phone into android. From there hold down the volume up and the power button, the phone should.vibrate 3 times, keep holding it until you see the Sony logo, let it boot into android.
I went from 4 hours SOT to about 6-7. Alot of variables like always keeping stamina mode, low brightness included.
