Cannot upgrade iRulu V1 from 4.4.2 to lollipop

Hello guys...

I have an iRulu V1 ,see screenshot, 4.4.2 and want to upgrade it to lollipop.

Android System...
version 4.4.2-eng.root.1418120722
MTK6582

Yes, my device is rooted.

First, I have no System Upgrade option/button.
I have the very latest Google Play Services and Google Play Services.
I have tried disabling the Google Services Framework and still nothing..

Second, I tried sideloading/dirty flashing custom ROMs from CM12, MIUI, BlissPop ,,, to no avail.
I even... wiped cache partition and data factory reset thinking flashing a custom ROM will work afterwards ,but nothing.

The recovery system I have is ... 109v82_gq3016_irulu_20141209
I tried CWM, TWRP, and Philz,, but it wont load those recoveries.

No matter how I tried flashing custom ROMs I keep getting the same error.....below..
....Installation Aborted...

I even as far as editing the updater_script.txt file to the correct mount points as per MTK Droid Tools Blocks Map and removing the asserts tag,,, still nothing.

I have hit a brick wall...

Anyone has any bright ideas and suggestions?
I have flashed custom ROMs on previous phones and worked well..,, still one got me stumped!
