I have a "manufacturer refurbished" AT&T branded M7 purchased almost a year ago from eBay. I'm not located in the US and the phone hasn't seen any updates (still in an older revision of KitKat from memory). Is that due to the phone not being on the AT&T network?
It's my SO's phone and I've not made it my concern until now with obvious concerns of the Stage Fright exploit known to be in the wild. The phone is rooted with TWRP and is S-ON. I have my own M7 which is S-OFF typically running an ASOP rom (XenonHD currently).
So what are my options here. I know my SO would be OK sticking with something stock and if things go sideways then it's not something I've done ;) On the other hand, going S-OFF and super CID seems to be the easiest path to me.
So what I am asking for:
What's the easiest path to stock on this phone given that I'm not physically in the US with it or even have an AT&T SIM? RUU? If I go the S-OFF route should I flash interim firmware or just the most recent lollipop?
