Notifications coming in at the same time.

So I just got the phone a few days ago and I've started to notice some strange happenings. Whenever I get notifications for my apps or messages they always come at the same time. Say I have a text message come in, it will then push facebook or something like that and show messages that I have from the messenger app. Is this normal behavior?

same phone same connection but why one gives more 3G+ / H+

i have 2 note 3 4g with the same carrier. both has 4G connection but if i set both to 3G/2G only. one of the note will gives 3G+ or H+ more than the other one.. the other one only 3G and H seldom ( rare ) to see it coming out. can i know why?

[BUG] Phone and Laptop on same wifi. Still says remote connection mode.

I have tried everything I could. Even turned off my firewall and accepted all incoming connections but nothing. The app refuses to acknowledge that it is on the same wifi and it always defaults to remote connection mode.
I have:
- An LG nexus 4, android 5.1
- Asus U576E running ubuntu. I'm using web.airdoid.com to connect

Usb, charging and Ethernet at same time? YES

since i got tablets, i miss the possibility to charge and use usb at the same time. And so,i tried a lot of adapters. On my note 10.1 2014, i tried one, from samsung, that was specialised for the note pro 12.2, sorry,dont know the exact Type,but i bring it,promised.....
Also with my tab s2 9,7Lte (815),i try different ones,but no one work,till i try this one from samsung again......and.....it works perfectly. The TabS2 have a build in ethernet interface (settings, other connections, ethernet). I plug in a ethernet cable,work....... plug in charger.......work......then i connect my IRig UA,got power and it works.......charging not interupted, ethernet still working......and the adapter have two Usb 2.0 Ports and 1 Usb3.0 mini Port (like Note3) for charging, but also works with a micro usb 2.0.........
Thats fantastic......i be absolutely happy with the tab S2.....got root now, amazing power.....great device samsung......
The only prob is, some apps don't support ethernet for internet connections,like chrome and others. There is a tool for xposed, calles fake wifi connection, but Xposed don't work at the moment,about my Rom isn't deodexed......but soon, i think.
Or anyone got another solution for this?

WIFI and Cellular data on at the same time (Draining Battery)

So I got my note this past saturday and had seen how great the battery life should be. One of the first things I noticed on my phone was even when connected to WIFI the cellular icon showed up. After doing some research it appeared this was normal but should remain gray. This is where my issue comes in. On my device the cellular data icon is on and goes from white to gray. Sunday I ran the tools recommended in the Debloat thread. Yesterday I decided to test if this was draining my battery. So when I woke up yesterday before unplugging it from the charger I turned mobile data off ( the icon was on but had a / through it and remained gray.) When I left for work yesterday I enabled data, and again disabled it once at work and connected to WIFI. My battery life soared. I went from getting barely 10 hours of time to getting 25 hours available.

Today I enabled cell data and will be leaving it on all day. Im obviously not through the entire day as of yet but at this point with far less use so far I am running about 5 hours shorter then with it off.


So what gives? Is anyone else seeing this? I have already gone through and disabled all of the bloatware. I cant seem to figure out why cell data is staying on and being used. OTG and Charging at the same time - Moto G 2013

i can´t get it to work.. when the resistor is too low, Host mode Starts.. if it is too high, charging mode starts.. but i can´t get both at the same time.

Maybe it´s a kernel thing.. maybe the kernel needs to have an option for this "dualmode".

im using motog 2013 with cm 12.1 (20150612 NIghtly at the moment)

maybe you know of a kernel or a xposed mod, that enables this "dualmode" with OTG and charging at the same time?

Same device, different CM - will it mesh?

I have a Galaxy Note 3 Neo (The Korean Variant, SM-N750K, frescoltektt) Recently, someone managed to port Cyanogenmod 12 to this device. The source code for the kernel is located here:

Now, you might think "Wait, that's frescolteskt, not frescoltektt!" Don't worry, it's compatible.

The problem is, I hate CM12. I wish for CM11 and want to port it myself. I looked over the repositories, but that is the only repository I could find related to that device.
If I put CM12's device tree in the CM11 build system, will it work?

So, above, I told you I found the android_kernel for frescolteskt. I thought you needed the vendor and the device source as well to completely build the Cyanogenmod. Am I missing something?

Mi 4i 32GB memory the same as 16Gb version?

I just found out that the 32GB version of the Mi 4i is available now.
The specs i can find are the same as the 16GB version (except the memory off course :))
Does anybody know if that is indeed the case?
Are the 16GB en 32GB versions the same, so can i use the Custom Rom's from here also for the 32GB version?
Or are there differences that are not named and make it impossible to use the same custom rom's?

New Note 5 Same poor wifi and cell reception

Went to a few shops today here in Taipei,Taiwan where they are selling the Dual sim card Note 5 and sure enough just like my Galaxy S6 Edge the Note 5 has poor wifi reception and poor cell reception signal. I went to 3 carriers shops right next to each other and all Samsung Note 5 displayed on Demo in the store had poor wifi connection issues while there smartphones had no problem connecting and had better signal strength on their wifi reception. The 4 GLTE signal band was also weaker on the new Note 5.

The speaker Volume though was quite good for a bottom speaker. Screen was good and camera was great. If you are about connections though you may end up hating this phone. Tried out new Galaxy S6 Edge + too and it had the the same problems as well. Samsung should address the poor wifi and cell signal issue.

Is WCDMA IMT-2000 the same as IMT-2100 ?

My "GiONEE Pioneer P2M" when enter to Engineer Mode gives me the following bands: GSM (GSM850, EGSM900, DCS1800, PCS1900) and UMTS (WCDMA-IMT-2000, WCDMA-PCS-1900, WCDMA-GSM-900)

But instead of WCDMA-IMT-2000 it's mentioned: WCDMA-IMT-2100 on websites ? are they the same ? will it cause a carrier registration issue ?

Chargers that charge it with atleast same speed as original

I managed to brake my original charger and there is no original for replacement to find in my country(Estonia). Also, i have not found any other chargers mentioned in quickcharger 2.0 thread. I already tried 2,4amps ipad mini original charger and random 2,1amps charger but they charge it in around 5 hours while original did it in less than 2 hours. Maybe there is some samsung or sony chargers that can do it in the same time? And maybe anyone does know if those "100% genuine original LG G2 chargers" on aliexpress charge it in same time as originals?

Wifi and Hotspot at the same time? (wifi bridge)

I have an Xperia-Sola with root access and KitKat installed.
I'd like to extend my wifi network (from router) by using Xperia Sola as a wifi bridge device.
To do this I would need to enable both wifi (to catch my router connection) and hotspot (that's wifi-tethering, to 'bridge' the router connection).
So,
Is it possible to enable Wifi and Hotspot at the same time?

Dialer problems (same number twice )

I got the 920F with the newest ROM which is available in France.

Normal:
Open dialer, press a few numbers, one of your contacts will be shown, press on it and call.

Now when I press on my contact, it shows me the same number twice and I need to choose between them every time before I can call him.

Anyone with the same problem?
It happens with every contact and they all have one number.
