My Tv remote has been lost for ages, and my G4 doesnt have it in its database for quickremote app. When all I used was chromecast I could control the volume amplification via the phone, but nexus player has nothing of the sort. A ludicrous exemption in my opinion. Anywho, what would be necessary to get volume control working via volume keys (on connected keyboard or anything else with volume keys)? Is it a kernel change or would only a mod need to be created?

Quality Control Issues With Moto X Pure??
Hey Guys,
I've been looking into buying the Moto X (I think we are all drooling over it) and I came across some post about some QC issues with defective devices and things like that. I'm wondering how many of you are actually having these issues and if so, how is Motorola customer service and can you easily get a new phone without much hassle?

Media / Game / Video Volume Control
Why the heck can't I change this volume with the volume buttons?
Going from home to work, I need to be able to change this WITHOUT having to open a game or video to turn down the volume.
Any Xposed module to fix this?

Different option for Pie Control?
Ever since I've seen it in action on other ROM, I love Pie Control. The problem is that, even thought there are a few apps available to emulate the real Pie Control from Paranoid Android, none of them have an option to access it with a long press on the Home button. I tried Pie Control (from coolace on the Play Store) and LMT Launcher (from XDA) and there's no option for what I want. They can only be accessed by pressing on a customizable edge of the screen and it's clunky. Is there any other app which could give me what I want?

Nexus 5 CPU speed control [Please help!!]
Hi,
I recently Rooted my Nexus 5, I'm running Android 5.1.1 , I'm using TWRP recovery, and I am using the latest version of Elementalx kernel. My phone has been running ridiculously slow and choppy, previous to rooting. Once I Rooted things started clearing up. I overclocked my CPU to 2.803 ghz and a minimum of 300mhz and set the governed to on demand. My phone runs stable and doesn't overheat. However for some strange reason the max and sometimes the minimum speeds change by themselves. Sometimes when I try to set it to 2.5-2.803 it always stays at 1.95. And it's really annoying. I keep trying to set the speeds higher but often it won't go above 1.5-1.9 ghz.
I've used many different kernel tuners/cpu managers, including the one for Elementalx but the same thing keeps happening. How can I get my phones cpu to stay at the frequencies I want without them changing on their own.

Lollipop 5.1.1 Bluetooth headset control
Sorry if this is not the right subject, been looking to find something better suited but was unable to find.
As stated above, I'm having issues with controlling music from my Bluetooth headset. I've already done some troubleshooting but am currently at a loss and hope to find some help here.
Let me first describe the problem first:
When I connect my Bluetooth headset (Philips SHB7150) to my Xperia Z3 tablet compact I can not control my music. If I start playing music from the app, it plays fine through the headset but I don't have control. This used to work before, unfortunately I can't pinpoint when the issue started but it's possible it happened after upgrading from Lollipop 5.0.2 to 5.1.1.
Now on to my troubleshooting results:
- When I turn off the BT headset and turn it back on, it connects to the tablet without hassle but I have no music controls.
- When I turn off the tablet and turn it back on, it connects to the BT headset without hassle but I have no music controls.
- When I pair the headset again using NFC, it connects to the tablet and I have music control :good:
- When I turn off BT on the tablet and turn it back on it connects to the BT headset and I have music control :good:
- When I connect the BT headset to the tablet and go into BT settings, open the settings for the BT headset + uncheck 'media' + confirm + check 'media' + confirm and I have music control :good:
- When the tablet connects to BT in my car, it starts playing after the play command from the receiver. :good:
- In these last 4 cases, the solution is only good until next time the BT headset is turned off and connects again. Then there is no music control until I repeat one of those 4 steps.
Things I have tried:
- Use another application to play my music (stock Xperia music app, Google music, Rocket Player, Shuttle+, ... are all experiencing the same issue. So I don't think it is due to the music playing software
- Tried an application (headset button controller) to try and change the button behaviour but it does not receive the command from the headset (no beep)
- Connect my BT headset to another device (Sony Xperia S, MacBook Air) and it works fine (both after pairing and after turning BT headset off and on again)
- Factory reset my tablet using Sony Bridge for Mac -included wipe of internal data-, still the same issue.
- I tried to find some ADB command to reset everything BT, but all I could accomplish was using the command to start BT (due to lack of knowledge on ADB commands)
- I deleted all app data and cache for 'Bluetooth sharing' in application manager + restarted and connected again (no success)
- I re-paired the headset once more but this time without adding it as a smart-lock unlocking device but had no luck controlling music when I connected it again
To conclude:
The headset is working fine with other devices, I can't pinpoint if this is a software/hardware issue because it appears to be only for this BT headset/laptop combination and with all music software AND continues after factory reset...
Other BT devices (=car stereo, I don't have another BT headset to test with) are working fine to control music on my tablet
Restarting BT on the tablet or re-autoring the use of media in BT settings on the tablet permanently resolves the issue until the next time the headset is connected.
So it looks like either something hijacks my device as soon as it connects to the tablet OR the media-authorization gets revoked in the BT settings for that device. Perhaps I'm saying stupid things, but I'm really hoping that you, the more knowledgeable Android developer/enthousiast/... would be able to make more sense and to give me a hand in order to fix this issue.
I currently am dependent on my tablet for playing music during my daily train commutes since my beloved Xperia Z1 Compact is in for warranty repairs :(
ANY help would be appreciated !

Control Xbox One Streaming with Mouse and Keyboard
Hello guys,
I was working on it yesterday with a bit of disappointment. Did anyone make this work yet?
I tried to do this with FreePIE, vJoy and X360CE.
I used X360CE to emulate an Xbox 360 Controller, since streaming should work with these. I hoped to be able to control streaming this way, but I don't know where to put the generated xinput1_3.dll. I was able to open the folder where the XboxApp.exe is, but I don't have write access there. Replacing xinput1_3.dll in system32 didn't help either. Somehow after some hours my FreePIE script stopped working, but that's an issue that I'll need to workaround later.
What I did so far:
- Writing a FreePIE script, that translates keyboard input to vJoy (controls for Minecraft, but can be easily changed)
- Configuring X360CE to understand vJoy (the easiest task)
If there is any interest in this, I can post Links and my script later.
Any ideas where I did go wrong? Anybody found a hint, where the Xbox App gets the inputs from? Does it even use Xinput or will we need to dig somewhere else?
Best regards

Bluetooth headset control issues
Unfortunately, I am currently experiencing a strange issue with my Bluetooth headset controls.
When I turn on my BT headset (Philips SHB7150) it connects automatically to my device (Sony Xperia Z3 tablet with stock ROM & unrooted) BUT the RocketPlayer does not play when I press the single-button control on my headset as it does on other players (like Play Music).
When I press the play button in the app/widget, music is being played through the headset but I can't control from the headset.
Quite annoying since my tablet is in my laptop bag most of the time...
When I turn off the BT headset and turn on, pair again using NFC (manually pairing makes no difference, I also tried this) I'm able to control the music with from my headset. Until next time I turn it off, then I have to pair it again in order to work properly.
I triend manually deleting the pairing relationship between headset and tablet before pairing again and I also deleted all data & cache for 'bluetooth sharing' in the application manager. I read that pressing the volume up and power button on my device would wipe all cache, so I tried but still no luck :(
Any help would be greatly appreciated !!
