Recieved new update on Nexus Player

While watching Netflix this morning my nexus player stopped playing and started to download new software update. I was hoping it was Android M, but after the update I checked and im still running Version 5.1.1, build LMY48N. I did a quick check to see if anything changed, but I havent found anything new. I will say the Nexus player seems more responsive.

Anyone else receive the update, and if so did you find anything new?

Unable to download or see "screenshot" MMS messages recieved.

Hi, My phone is stock and on the Tmobile network with default settings. My wife has a Samsung Note 4, whenever she sends a screen shot, my phone always tell me that the message is not downloaded and/or "Download Unsucessful". When I do download it, its just a blank file, unable to be seen. But when she sends a normal pic from her phone's camera, it comes in fine.

Its not just her, I have the problem with others sending me screenshots also, iPhone and other Samsungs. My Nexus 6 don't discriminate, it seems to be allergic to all those PNG files. What do u guys think? I tried searching everywhere, I'm sure I'm not the only one running into this problem.

Recieved a fishy mms and I might be under stagefright attack

I haven't been able to use my phone for a day now. Or I'm afraid to use it.

I recieved an mms from a number that isn't registered on my contacts.
It contained a fake video play button picture on it. (Refer to the screenshot)

My mistakes are:
It's rooted
Only on kitkat
Didn't do any of those disabling the automatic retrieval of mms option

I couldn't update my phone against stagefright because it's only a generic gsm Chinese android phone.

Now I'm afraid that I may be under attack since I dont even have to open the mms message
Itself.

I removed the sim card and SD card and let my phone off.
I have private stuffs on my phone and I cannot let anyone meddling with it.

How am I gonna know If my phone is still safe to use or how am I gonna know if I'm under attack or not...
