HELP: kodi stuck in "working" when trying to generate list of movies or tv shows

Hi all,

I'm rather new to Kodi and my amazon fire TV. It came pre installed with everything so I never had to tamper with it until now.

About a week ago I noticed that when I go into for example 1channel -> movies or TV shows , then try to go into one of the sub categories such as "date released", "date added", or when I do a "search", that it would just be stuck with the logo "working" on the bottom right corner of the screen.

Now the shows that I've added to my Favorite list still works. When I go into them the links show up, and it streams.

I've tried searching for this on Google but didn't come up with much. I decided to update Kodi to 15.2 via the FIle Manager method (so I don't have to use a computer), Kodi is now updated but the issue didn't go away.

This problem doesn't just exist with 1channel, but also icefilms, phoenix, xkmovies etc.

Kodi stops other apps video from playing

Hi, please can someone suggest what might be wrong here?

I've had my Amazon Fire TV box about a week now. Love it. Kodi installed and running fine. I also use the Netflix and BBC iPlayer native apps.

Weird thing, if I finish watching content in Kodi, go to home and launch Netflix or BBC iPlayer, I can browse content in either app but if I try to play a video in either app it fails to play. I've found that if I come out and return to Kodi, select to exit Kodi and then press home and launch Netflix / BBC iPlayer, videos in either of these apps will then play fine.

It's as if not exiting Kodi properly is causing videos in other apps not to play. How could this be, and how can I resolve it?

need step by step guide - installing latest kodi and have icon on home screen

i want to update my version of kodi, i think i have an old verison installed. how can i update it and maintain the icon on homescreen?

is there a guide? the last time i did it was months ago and unsure if there have been changes to doing this / easier method...
to be honest i can't remember exactly, but i am using a llama / ikon tv replacement i believe)

Amazon fire stick cache settings for kodi

HI all, recently got Amazon fire stick, added kodi. Installed repos etc, streamed a show and the firestick ran out of storage space and crashed. I was unable to reopen it without wiping all the data and starting again.

My question is , what is the best cache setting for the firestick to stop this happening? I read different things everywhere about xml settings and changes to cache.

Please can someone tell me very simply what to do and how to do it? bearing in mind that I am a noob! I have no idea how to get to or edit xml stuff, I read that I need to create a file- how is this done? On the stick or a pc? ! Pls help!

Update Kodi With USB Stick

Hi Guys

I have Kodi 14.1 installed on my fire tv. I had to bring it to a mates house who owns a pc to do this as I don't have a pc/laptop. Is it possible to download Kodi 15.1 to a usb stick and put it in the back of the fire tv and update Kodi from the USB?

I just tried the new AEON Skin for kodi but now my IVUE TV guide is not working, Had a look around the net but I cant find anything. If I switch the skin back to AEON NOX and then the guide starts working again.

If anyone can help on this issue?

Problems with xposed using kodi as homescreen.

I have a few rooted boxes and I use xposed to use spmc as my homescreen. My issue is that after about a few months of use the device will just randomly start loading to a grey screen. It is at this point that I have to mess around with the voice control button on the remote and unplug the wifi etc to get it back to the main amazon screen then force stop kodi and relaunch it. I am not sure what causes this issue but it can be quite a hassle getting the amazon screen back when I use kodi as the default launcher and the screen gets stuck on this grey screen. I've even had to do a restore on some, luckily i have rbox bootloader on my boxes or I would probably never be able to get back to it. Does anyone have this issue and know of a remedy?

Can I upgrade my kodi 14.2 to kodi 15.1 in my box?

we know kodi 15.1 came out with more powerful functions, so I am thinking anout if i can go to kodi 15.1 myself without the support from Tronfy box company, I am wondering if kodi 15.1 will work on my Tronfy telos? any clue? and there is a box review in xda, http://forum.xda-developers.com/andr...eview-t3184824
