Phone being detected as CD Drive even if it is connected as Media device (MTP)

I am not able to access the Internal Storage and SD card content from PC because of this issue. Whenever I connect my device to the PC, the device is shown as CD Drive HTC Sync Manager. Several times I set 'Media device (MTP)' from 'USB computer connection'. But even after several attempts the PC is treating the device as CD drive only. I connected my device with other PC's also. But no use. Please anyone help me with this issue.

Help with not being able to flash recovery

Hello everyone
I rooted with kingo root I checked to make sure I have root access which I do. I have titanium back up pro, busy box and SU. I tried to use rom manager and I get and error that I can't flash the recovery.
I did some reading and saw that people liked twrp so I downloaded that and I'm getting the same result.
Not sure if I didn't something wrong or what.

Knox had been shut off so that shouldn't be the issue.

I just want a newer version software so I don't feel so outdated lol

Please any and all help would be great.

My Quattro was previously running on cosmic Rom with philz recovery img but now I switched back to stock Rom but the bootloader is still show the build number different in the bootloader because of which software update download but doesn't install. Pls help me

Call Back Number being Sent over SMS

Strange, I've "upgraded" my M9 to a G4.

Now when my wife sends me a text message from her Bad Boys M8 I see her phone number listed on every text message. I thought the problem was the G4.

Turns out the problem is with the M8 and M9.

M8 always sends a Call Back number. There is an option to shut it off, but If you shut the option off or wipe out the call back number in the HTC Messenger app, it puts it right back.
The M9 never displayed it (maybe it's an option to filter out). But G4 always shows it, if it's there.

Everyone else sending me messages has no call back. Only the M8, which explicitly says to send it and cannot be defeated. And the M9 quietly hides it even when you want it.

Samsung galaxy s3 not booting after being flashed by a rom

Model : Samsung galaxy s3 GT19300

I was using s5 sensation rom for my s3 gt19300 but was facing some problems. So i swithed to Glamour s5. The flashing process was successfully done (i wiped all cache,dalviks cache). Now when i start the phone the samsung logo appears and then the screen remains blank. Now i cant start my phone. Tried flashing the same file several times yet no progress( phone can start in recovery mode). Now i dont have any backup of the previous roms on my phone and cannot access phones internal memory as phone is not starting up. * Is there any way by which i can paste the previous rom on my phones internal memory and flash that? Or any other process using odin or anything so that i can get my phone back:crying:*

Tried various times by removing battery for a long time and flasing again and clearing cache and dalviks cache.

Any way to read phoneinternal memory on PC in recovery mode to paste the previous rom file.

Greenify auto-hibernation constantly being stopped

Hello everyone,

My Greenify constantly shows the auto hibernation being stopped message. I check every app and don't find any third party app that can kill apps. My device is Samsung s6 edge, rooted with xposed installed. I use boost mode in Greenify. I'm now wondering if it is killed by the android system? But some of my apps can keep running all the time, so maybe this issue is related to Greenify only?

Puzzled by 4.7 speakers being way louder than 5.5. Anyone?

So I stumbled upon this (Russian) video today, in which the reviewer compares the 4.7 and 5.5 speakers. To my surprise the 4.7 speakers sound way louder and possibly better. To me this doesn't make sense and leads me to believe something isn't right with the 5.5.

Did any of you compare both the devices speakers and what were the results?

SIM card not being detected, battery draining

Hey guys, today I flashed the criskelo rom 4.4.2 latest version for my n900. Everything works well except my battery and my sim card. I've reinserted, and rebooted my phone several times but the sim card is not being read. Also my battery draining mainly because of a cell standby thing that seems to be linked with my sim card problem. My sim works fine when I insert it into my iPhone and it worked in all my other roms that I've flashed. What could be the solution to this?
