Samsung Note 10.1 (2014) requires USB plugged in to stay powered on

I have a SM-P600 device.
Had the device drain battery and not power on at all.
Replaced the battery and was then able to plug it in and see it charge.
Once fully charged I powered on the device and all worked fine.
But when I in plug (with 100% Battery) it will go to black screen and power down.
Tested it several times same result. Unit must be plugged in to work?

Anyone have suggestions? Unfortunately it's out of warranty?

My M8 will only charge when powered off and no USB

I have a M8 which will only charge when powered down or in fastboot AC.
When off it shows a battery with a power symbol, it does not show the charge level. and it keeps restarting.
When I boot into fastboot and connect a charger it shows fastboot AC and it starts to draw current, around 1A.
Also fastboot USB fully works so I can flash.
When I boot the Phone it won't recognise any USB connection, either PC or charger.
I have already replaced the USB board. Factory reset, battery recal.
Everything else works.
It happened after the battery was fully discharged when the Phone was not used for a time.

Kernel logging does not show any USB detection, I am now looking into the kernel source to try to understand how USB detection works.
I don't understand that hboot/fastboot seems to work fine but when booted USB does not work.

Any hints where to look or what to test are welcome.

[Q] Xperia Z2 won't charge while it's powered on

Tablet is a rooted Verizon Xperia Z2.

If it's powered on it will not charge with original stock USB charger or a generic magnetic dock charger.

If I turn it off it charges perfectly with either charger.

What could be wrong? :confused:

[G3 to be powered by 64 bit processor?)

It came to my mind when someone once said on my thread that something about G3 might support some 64 bit apps (well at least what was said)

And since I'm getting a motto E 2nd Gen which actually has a 64 bit processor but doesn't come with any lib files nor app process files I wondered one thing

In build.prop

You'll find

ro.product.model=MotoE2(4G-LTE)
ro.product.brand=motorola
ro.product.name=surnia_retus
ro.product.device=surnia_umts
ro.product.board=msm8916

# use ro.product.cpu.abilist instead.
ro.product.cpu.abi=armeabi-v7a
ro.product.cpu.abi2=armeabi
ro.product.cpu.abilist=armeabi-v7a,armeabi
ro.product.cpu.abilist32=armeabi-v7a,armeabi
ro.product.cpu.abilist64=
ro.product.manufacturer=motorola

But that's not just only that

The G3 does indeed has thus files as well mentioned in the build.prop

ro.product.brand=lge
ro.product.name=g3_global_com
ro.product.board=MSM8974
# ro.product.cpu.abi and ro.product.cpu.abi2 are obsolete,
# use ro.product.cpu.abilist instead.
ro.product.cpu.abi=armeabi-v7a
ro.product.cpu.abi2=armeabi
ro.product.cpu.abilist=armeabi-v7a,armeabi
ro.product.cpu.abilist32=armeabi-v7a,armeabi
ro.product.cpu.abilist64=
ro.product.manufacturer=LGE

Note that this isn't official just a assumption and might explain why we could use 64 bit dex resources
