Samsung Note 10.1 (2014) requires USB plugged in to stay powered on

I have a SM-P600 device.
Had the device drain battery and not power on at all.
Replaced the battery and was then able to plug it in and see it charge.
Once fully charged I powered on the device and all worked fine.
But when I in plug (with 100% Battery) it will go to black screen and power down.
Tested it several times same result. Unit must be plugged in to work?

Anyone have suggestions? Unfortunately it's out of warranty?

wifi wont stay connected. help?

I just bought the galaxy core prime from metropcs. I have wifi in my home that all other devices connect to with no problem. I typed in the wifi password and hit connect. It connects but then quickly disconnects over and over again. I have tried downloading wifi fixers and the 0011 turn off powersaving mode and nothing seems to work. Pleaseeee help????!!!! I depend majorly on wifi since I've also noticed my 4g is slow too. :(

Help, i337m won't stay locked to WIND

Hello, ive acquired a Rogers s4 i337m that has been sim unlocked and rooted, and possibly aws enabled. It has worked for about two months on Wind with no issues and all of a sudden it started dropping signal and lock into roaming mode.

I've done many firmware upgrade and downgrades, flashed custom ROMs and different modems. Formatted the /system, data, cache, dalvik.

On a fresh install it looks like it works. Until I put the phone away. After about 30min to an hr the phone automatically switches to Roaming and I don't even have an option to select Wind as a network provider.

Anyone with similar issues could please xhime in?

Just switched to 4.4.2 bootloader and modem (NC1), with Kangapop Rom

Stay Away from ebay seller: tropical_mobile

I purchased two Samsung Galaxy S6 phones from the seller tropical_mobile on ebay. I purchased the phones from them because they listed the item with "12 MONTH SAMSUNG WARRANTY" and also mentioned that the item is located in Memphis, TN in the US. The phones actually shipped from Singapore. They landed in Fedex World Hub in Memphis, and these crooks have mentioned that as the item location just to attract more buyers from the US. After receiving the phones, I checked with Samsung in US to confirm if the phone truly has warranty. And they said the phones are not supported in the US. I asked the seller for a partial refund to keep the phones and they even agreed and sent me a bogus PayPal transaction ID and asked me to wait for a few days. The refund never came through. I wanted to deal this politely with them and was waiting for ever and ever. They play this delaying tactics and with that it was way past eBay's 30 day buyer protection deadline. Also with this I could not change the positive feedback I gave them. In addition they listed that the phone ships from Memphis, TN - but they actually got shipped from Singapore. This is another cheating tactic by this seller.

I then opened a PayPal case, and PayPal buyer protection is a JOKE. This seller sells thousands of phones and gives ebay and paypal a hefty commision. PayPal's decision was to have me ship the item back to Singapore (which costs around 0 for each phone) to get a refund. The seller who told me in the ebay messages that he is ok to give partial refund, has not agreed to partial refund when PayPal contacted them. So ultimately I am having 2 phones that can die anytime without support. My decision now is to spread the word to all discussion forums related to Android and ebay to warn people from staying away from this WORST seller.

US based sellers clearly sell these models by mentioning that there is no warranty. But this tropical_mobiles is one of the worst eBay seller, but tactically manages to have 100% positive feedback.

They may even ask you to close the ebay case and tell that they will process a refund or return. But do NOT close your case until it is fully resolved. A closed case cannot be reopened. This is another tactic from them. After the case is closed, they will not fulfill the promise made.

To Avoid all these hassles, just please stay away from them. You can rather purchase from properly US based sellers who truly list items are not covered under warranty.

[Q] TWRP won't stay -- CM replaces with its own -- bootloops if replaced...

Ok, so I got the Z3c just recently since CyanogenMod now apparently supports it (odd it's not listed in devices on the wiki, but it's on their standard build system, so this is not even an unofficial build.) I found t here's even an official TWRP build for it. I really kind of need TWRP on there as I need to be able to do all of the numerous stuff it can do without having to hook it up to a computer with adb/fastboot/etc every single time. There are a huge number of features and conveniences to TWRP that CWM and CyanogenMod recovery both lack (frankly it feels like TWRP is a modern recovery and those two still feel like they date back to the Android 2.x days. I can remember the stock recovery on my Archos 43 back in the day being practically the same as what I get with CyanogenMod recovery especially.)

Anyway, this one is a bit odd. I've also setup a Z2 Tablet for my grandmother with TWRP + CyanogenMod and there are no troubles at all there. I put TWRP on it and it works normally basically. However, on this Z3c it's going a bit wonky. CyanogenMod somehow seems to be replacing the recovery with its own. I've disabled automatic updates and the option to update the recovery was never even enabled at all. If I flash using dd directly to the partition as the official TWRP page says I once again have TWRP, but then the system either won't boot at all (staying stuck on the SONY logo) or it just boots straight to TWRP over and over as if TWRP were the normal system instead of the recovery.

I'm wondering whether something is just going really wrong or if, alternately, there's some oddity like it having some sort of "boot to recovery" flag that gets set and does not clear? Is this something I can fix, or am I just stuck with CyanogenMod putting its own recovery on there without asking?

Honestly, SONY did a lot of things great on their devices, but not having a true separate bootloader/recovery is something I will never be comfortable with.
