Problem with stock messaging app after update to Lollipop 5.1.1

After update to Lollipop 5.1.1 I can't see my own picture in stock sms app. The pictures of other contacts can I see normal. The other things are working ok.
With other SMS apps is no such problem, I can see my own picture and from contact.

Can anyone provide the stock Messaging app for X2?

I have a rooted Nokia X2, and somehow the stock Messaging app (MMS.apk) has gone missing from my phone. I am unable to send/receive text messages on my mobile :crying:

Can someone help me here by providing the stock messaging app apk installer?

Any other way to fix this will also be appreciated :)

[How to FIX] error code 96 - text messaging (sms) issue

if you are having this "error code 96" issue, you probably having hard time sending text messages (SMS)

so here is how to fix it

1. Go to your dialer and enter *#*#4636#*#* to enter Engineer/Service Mode.
2. go to "phone information"
3. scroll down and tap "turn on SMS over IMS" to turn on sms.
4. after that tap "refresh" button and after that tap "update" button to update the new settings..

[REQ] Can anyone upload the stock messaging apk from T-Mobile rom?

Hello! I'm currently running the Global ROM and i'd like to have Group messaging. I was wondering if anyone could pull the stock Messaging APK from their stock ROM and upload it, i'd like to overwrite my current one to see if it possibly works. I appreciate it, and thank you in advance!

How to backup SMS (Verizon Messaging+) on Tab Pro 8.4?

I have Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 with stock rooted ROM. I installed Verizon Messaging+ which syncs with Verizon online so all my phone SMS and MMS messages sync to my tablet, and I can also send SMS from the tablet.

I would like to backup the SMS and MMS on the tablet. I have tried my usual solution, Super Backup, but it does not find any messages. I also tried Easy Backup, but same problem.

Any idea how I can do a complete SMS and MMS backup on the tablet?

Text messaging turning on my screen

Is there a way to make that receiving text message doesn't open the screen ? Everytime i receive a SMS or MMS my screen is turning on ..

Messaging lag when using theme.

Seems like when using a theme, the stock messaging has a little lag. Believe me, I see no other lag with the phone!
Wonder if there's a way to fix that?

Just out of curiosity, what messaging app is everybody using? The stock one with the phone seems kind of cheesy/corny. Theres so many out there and most of them are rated pretty high in thr play store. I was wondering if there was a a general consensus among the xda community for the app they use the most.

Group Messaging never ending torment.

Hi. I despise the stock messaging app on my H810 Att LG G4. Sometimes I will get anonymous messages with nothing to download. Other times I will be prompted to retry to download an MMS over and over. I feel I am missing out on texts from my friends and family. I checked APN settings, called ATT, and even had a replacement phone shipped. I have tried multiple 3rd party apps. Textra intermittently works, but I constantly get a notification to "Cant retrieve MMS recheck APN settings". Group message has people with iphones and other carreirs, but I can't believe a basic functionality is so buggy. Do any of you have any tips to solve this issue.?

Picture Messaging

Hi,

I think the way the note 5 does pic messaging is a bit inconsistent. Sometimes, after selecting a pic I want to send (from the gallery app) it immediately drops the pic into the messaging app and then I just have to type in the recipients name in the top of the message. Often other times, after selecting the pic, I get the attached window pop up asking me to select the recipient.

Note 5 Adding Text to Picture Messaging Issues

I am unable to add text when I select a picture to send in messaging. It only gives me the option to add the picture and then send it. Is anyone else having this issue? Also, if this is a known issue is there a way to resolve it?
