S6 Wifi Fail after Custom Rom Install

Hi guys,

I've just recently (over the weekend) installed VaderRom on my S6, but after I installed the custom ROM (not after root/kernel flash, which was a few days before) I can no longer use WiFi. The phone connects to the Wifi – not problems there, the connection is "Very Good" – but it absolutely refuses to transmit any data over the network. Every internet based app says I'm not connected to the net.

I have a G920I, which I had already updated to stock 5.1.1; Flashed the unikernel appropriate to my model (no issues), got Root, custom recovery, etc. Then, later, I decided to install VaderRom – no issues with install, and everything worked fine. Except WiFi.

Tried XtreStroLite as well, just to see if anything changed, but no joy.

Tried flashing a new bootloader and modem (currently this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gala...pport-t3154861), but no change.

Have now restored to a nandroid backup from before the custom ROM flash, but I still can't get any data over Wifi.

Soooooo............ Does anyone have any ideas? I've Googled, I've searched these forums, I've looked for the last few days for a solution, but I've not seen a single post that seems to cover this issue.

Cheers for any help!

country code causing text messages to fail

HI everyone.
Sorry for the second post in a few days, but this is an annoying issue

I have a verizon galaxy s6, and I am currently living in Belgium, using belgian sim (carrier BASE). I don't think this issue is unique to the country or the carrier.

The problem I am having is that when I receive a text message from a belgian number, the number that shows on my phone has the country code: +32 xx xxx xxxx. I can get text messages like this, but when I try to reply, the message fails. (this has happened on every number ive tried to respond to.) The only way I can get my texts to send is by making the number into a new contact, and removing the +32 country code. The same goes for when i'm trying to call, I have to remove the country code, if I keep it, the call fails. I've tried turning on and off assisted dialing, and I did a factory reset on my phone. Ive tried dialing US numbers and they have also failed, so it's not forcing the +1 country code on my numbers while calling either.

This is a huge pain, because it forces me to make a new contact for every single new number, even if its not a number I need/want to keep, and go in and adjust it manually.

Thanks for the help, it's very appreciated.

I can't install a large app . In storage settings says :

User Rom 1,97GB(free 200 MB,

EXTERNAL SD CARD:

I have default save location on SD, I have restarted play store, apps are installed on user Rom. When I delete a large app user Rom has more space. I have 1 Gb free on internal and external memory. How to use this memory for default save location and not user Rom (it is only 2 gb), Or how to extend partitions? System is lagging and a notification says I have not free space. Zte v975

Odin Fail

I have been trying to root my note 3 SM-N900 for several hours today and I am getting quite frustrated.
dropbox.com /s/tmwphjs3muyhad9/tempFileForShare_2015-09-09-17-41-40.jpg?dl=0[/IMG]

Here are the steps I have followed.
  1. Enabled USB debugging.

  2. Started Downloaded mode & connected to oden.

  3. Tried to flash CMW recovery (ticked only "F.Reset Time" checkbox & added cmw file to AP).

  • Product name:SM-N900

  • Current Binary: Samsung Official

  • System Status: Official

  • Reactivation Lock(KK) : ON

  • Secure Download : Enabled

  • KNOX Warranty void : 0

  • RP Swrev: A4

The program shows this:

Code:

<ID:0/003> recovery.img
<ID:0/003> NAND Write Start!!
<ID:0/003> FAIL!
<ID:0/003>
<ID:0/003> Complete(Write) operation failed.
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)

Any ideas? Am I using the wrong Odin version? Or am I downloading the wrong recovery file ? Is my phone too up-to-date to be rooted? Any help is appreciated.Thanks.

Galaxy Player 3.6 (US) Thread Fail, bricked.

Hey everyone
note that this is my first post so I can't post it in any dev threads so I must post it here, sorry.

Today, I tried to install custom firmware onto my YPGS1 (US version with capacitive touch home button). The firmware I am trying to install is http://forum.xda-developers.com/gala...od-10-t3046129, cyanogenmod 10 for the 3.6. I followed the instructions but got a completed 0 success 1 failed thread. (using Odin3 1.85, the version designated in the original thread for the rom. I've tried other versions and they don't detect the player) I tried twice and decided to just stop but I couldn't get out of download mode, so I force rebooted (I think i just held down the power button, but I might've taken out the battery) and now when I turn it on its stuck at a "firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies and try again" screen with a phone with 2 dots to the left going to a yellow error triangle and then a computer screen. The good news is that it appears to still be in download mode, but I still can't install a rom. I've tried a different usb cable, different usb port, completely different computer, and tried multiple different roms. I get the same issue.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

G901F flash odin fail

So now my phone is stuck with the "Firmware Upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in kies & try again." error. Does anyone know what does that error mean and is there anything I could do now? Is it because I tried to flash an older rom over my newer one?

Thanks!

Odin FAIL! Need some help please.

Hello all,
I have a Samsung Note 4 from sprint. I tried rooting my phone earlier and then it just began to restart over and over. I researched and found some solutions which none have worked thus far. Maybe someone can help me out. Current things that I have tried.
1. Rebooted the device and did a factory reset and clearing the cache hoping that would fix the problem. The phone just continued to restart.
2. Next I downloaded the original firmware for my device that I found. The name was GalaxyNote4/SM-N910P/5.0.1/N910PVPU1BOB7_N910PSPT1BOB7_SPR.zip I tried using this and got the Fail! using Odin3 V 3.10

Help! --> N910T Odin PIT Partition FAIL

So my new Note 4 was in a bootloop when I bought it. So I researched and used odin with cf-autoroot and twrp to flash cyanogenmod. This fixed the bootloop.

But I want stock. So I downloaded these:

From this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/note...overy-t2902574
And then tried flashing the full firmware. It failed saying "missing pit" or something.

So I searched and apparently *.pit's for N910T are rare and the one's that have been posted by users on XDA have been removed because they were bricking.

I proceeded to search for a *.pit and found this: http://www.droidviews.com/how-to-ext...alaxy-devices/
I extracted the *.pit using adb shell when in TWRP, downloaded pit magic, and then compared my pit with another user's n910t pit in the comments.
User's PIT:

My PIT:

So seeing as they were the same if not extremely similar, I added the pit along with the full firmware and tried again on Odin.

Am I supposed to use the other firmware files and such when flashing with a pit at the same time? Like the bootloader, modem, etc.?

All I want to do is to re-partition the whole device, and "flash"/restore the stock firmware.

Thank you guys for your time reading this; sorry for my "flashing illiteracy" or what not...
