Can I Completely Get Rid Of NFC?

I am trying to remove everything from my phone that I don't use via an edify updater-script.

I tried to remove NFC like this but when I rebooted I got a constant error popup saying "The NFC Service Has Stopped" and I had to re-flash to fix it.

Code:

ui_print("Removing NFC");
delete("/system/etc/nfcee_access.xml");
delete("/system/etc/permissions/android.hardware.nfc.xml");
delete("/system/etc/permissions/com.cyanogenmod.nfc.enhanced.xml");
delete("/system/lib/hw/nfc.tuna.so");
delete("/system/lib/libnfc.so");
delete("/system/lib/libnfc_jni.so");
delete("/system/lib/libnfc_ndef.so");
delete_recursive("/system/app/nfc");

Is there a safe way to completely remove NFC (not just turning it off in the settings)?

Oneplus 2 Home Button completely Dead !

My Home button of the OPT is not giving signs of life. I got the OPT yesterday and it worked but after a clean install it stopped working.

It doesn't do Home Button Taks nor it reads fingerprints. It is simply DEAD! Help me please????

I went through a process of rooting, however I'm still not rooted because no point of rooting if I have this problem.

Here's what happened:

After I unlocked the bootloader and flash TWRP, I went to TWRP and by mistake I wiped system as well. I was so nervous that I ended up wiping: System + Data + Dalvik + Cache + SD Card.

So after I had wiped everything off OPT, of course I had to download and flash manually Oxygen OS ! After I flashed it I set up the phone normally through Setup Wizard and when I was going to configure the Fingerprint, that's when it didn't work anymore. So, everything in the phone is working properly except for the Home Button.

So, do you think it could have anything to do with factory reset + System + SD Card and flashing Oxygen OS again? How could that damage the Home Button ALL functionalities? If not, read the final part of this thread:

The buttons on left and right of the Home Button work properly !

I followed these two Sticky Threads:

---> https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/o...-01-09.347627/
---> https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/....p-more.345478/

I have a theory which might help someone who reads this tell me if it could be it:

So, my OPT came with Oxygen OS 2.0.3 and as I wiped the system, I had to flash a ROM again. However it is only available Oxygen 2.0.2 in the Internet to download, which leads me to think that it was a firmware downgrade which led to this problem. Could this be it?

I am trying to solve this for 17 hours ! Please, if you have any idea how to help me, do not hesitate.

Thanks in advance for all of those who are reading this until the end and even more thanks to the ones replying to this thread !

Just received my Fire Phone (Ebay) and battery was completely discharged... concerns?

Hello all... I've just received the FIre Phone I ordered off Ebay (qualitycellz seller). The phone is supposedly brand-new in original box, but upon taking it out of the box and trying to turn it on it did not respond at all. I connected the charger, tried again, nothing...... had to leave it connected for around 5 minutes and tried again and this time the screen woke up to show me the ultra low battery indicator with a 0% charge level. I had to wait for it to charge for around 5 minutes to re-attempt turning it on. Fortunately it did turn on after that time.

My concern is that from what I know all cellphone manufacturers ship phones with at least 60% charge in order to keep the battery in good condition while on storage, so receiving the phone completely dead raises a concern on me that there might be damage to the battery. Could this be related to the long time Amazon had these units in storage since the phone launched?... I would expect that these phone might have been around a year in storage before Amazon decided to pull the plug.

This is the seller that Amazon unloaded all their remaining Fire Phone inventory to, so phones are new in box. I'm also concerned that the seal on the box was broken, even though the phone and packaging inside did not show signs of being used in any way. The phones are AT&T version but they include an unlocking code, so they should not need to open the box in any way since they generate the Unlock code based on the IMEI visible on the box label. One option is that they open the boxes to confirm that the phones are not DOA and then they forgot to turn it off after testing.

Should I be concerned about this?... I've not activated the phone yet and I've contacted the seller first to at least request their explanation and thoughts on this, and check if we should proceed with a return on this case. Your comments are appreciated.

How to completely wipe phone

So my wife in her infinite wisdom, bought a Galaxy S6 off some guy at her work to replace my aging HTC M8. The catch being that he forgot his Samsung credentials, so he couldn't log in, and therefore is selling the phone to make up for his stupidity.

Before buying it, she checked the IMEI and its clear, along with the fact that the guy had all the original stuff that came with it, and it was almost brand new.

Now my question is, how can I bypass this? How can everything be erased for this isn't an issue? I've odined it to a fresh ROM, even Nand Erase All, but its still stuck with it. I know previous versions there was ways around it, but I can't seem to find one with this.

Currently running AT&T build G920AUCU2AOF3, which I believe is 5.0.2.

Completely hard bricked HTC Nexus 9

Hi all, first post here so forgive me if I make some silly mistakes.

I was downgrading from Android 5.1 to Android 5.0.1, and I was halfway through flashing the flash-all.bat (which doesn't work), when I pressed ^C on the command line to stop the flash. After that, I tried to flash each image individually through fastboot, but nothing showed up on the command line screen (when it usually would tell me "target reported max size of X"). I tried to reboot into the bootloader, but by that time, the Nexus 9 was already bricked, and I couldn't even get the screen to light up.

There are several important things I cannot do right now, including:

-Turning on the Nexus 9 (even to bootloader)
-Detecting the Nexus 9 in fastboot
-Flashing any system images to it.

Is there anything that I to do to unbrick the device, and is there any software that I can download to fix the Nexus 9?

Thanks.
