moto g xt1033 hardbricked help me!!

HI,
i have flashed android 4.4.2 on my moto g xt1033 from my stock android,it was all fine and nothing happened
it rebooted and finally booted up to lockscreen.
then it asked me to update to 4.4.4 and i clicked yes,it downloaded it and started to install it and started to reboot the device
there was a little android logo below there is a progress bar filling up with green clolor ,it finished and it shutdown

thats it now it dosent even start or even show me the boot logo,i also ried to go to fastboot mode but no use

please help me with this!!!!!!!!

Install Custom Recovery and Root for Moto G xt1033 Lollipop 5.1 stock

Chill everyone: while flashing twrp , custom recovery it seems mismatch of partition file ...... everyone donot use twrp who has posted in previous threads or donot flash devices with minimal ADB and fastboot through C: storage


You all need to Flash the custom recovery only through Platform tools from SDK

Then Download the latest TWRP file

After that Download supersu v2.46 then install into your device

Finally your device is rooted in Lollipop 5.1

Hard Bricked XT1033

Hi all,

I've a XT1033. Running Anroid 4.4.4 (Stock)
When upgrading to Android 5.0.2 (OTA) the phone's screen (connected to charger) during the upgrade went black. Wit no error message whatsoever.

Now I'm stuck with a hard-bricked phone. Seeing the QBOOT_USB interface in device manager and getting;
"FAILED (blank-flash:sdl-transfer-image:sdl-hello:invalid HDLC frame)"

Is there really no fix to resolve this issue? We "must" wait for Motorola to come with the signed bootloader for Android 5.x?

MOTO G XT1033 can't send or receive SMS

I have a Moto G 1st Gen Dual Sim (XT1032). I tried to convert it to XT1032 GPE but I think I failed. After that I flashed the following ROM

But in this ROM I am unable to send or receive any SMS. I installed CM12.1, but the problem persists. I have also tried to flash Lollipop Stock ROM for Moto G but It fails every-time. I am currently on the AOSP based ROM. Any solutions for this?

[XT1033 INDIA] Issues with 5.0.2 solved in 5.1, as Tested by me

A. Phone, Router & Firmware info:
1. My Phone : MotoG XT1033 Asia [Nov 2013 Model INDIA]
2. My WiFi Router : DSL-2750U_ADSL_Modem (U1, IN_1.08)
3. Root/Mod Status : No Mods, Not Rooted (Normal)
4. Old Firmware : Lollipop 5.0.2 [220.21.28] Stock
5. New Firmware : Lollipop 5.1 [221.21.56]

6. Update method :

a) File "Blur_Version.221.21.56.falcon_umtsds.AsiaRetail.e n.03.zip" downloaded in PC. (file md5-checksum = 94856deaaa3f23a1163120b362cbaef10, 208.7 MB )
b) File copied to phone's sdcard/Internal memory.
c) "apply update from sdcard" thru phone's BootLoader/Recovery menu.

effect same as update thru OTA file, but safer.

7. Updated Date : Sep 12, 2015.

8. Status : Update successfully installed.
9. Post update actions : wiped cache partition (thru fastboot & recovery menu)

B. Issues with 5.0.2 solved in 5.1 (Sep-2015), as experienced/Tested by me

1. WiFi re-connection issues after disconnect, with Channel-13 or auto-channel, earlier in 5.0.2.
(eg: when enforced WiFi disable/enable or by moving out/in of Wifi range).
These issues are solved in 5.1, even with Channel-13 selected (either manually or auto).

2. When an incoming call, is not picked-up even after screen timeout time (say 15 secs), then ringing stops, & display switches off. Accepting the call after this is very difficult. This issue is solved in 5.1

3. Gallery Application fails/ Misbehaves.
Albums/Videos, shows blank squares/Tiles. Problem temporarily solves on reboot, but only for one invocation. This issue is solved in 5.1

4. Two Photo icons in App Drawer. This issue is solved in 5.1.

5. The phone lagging response issues seems to be improved, if not altogethor solved.
At least it is more responsive (response time faster), and smoother to operate, than in 5.0.2.

But the final verdict on this can only be provided after some extended time of usage (say few weeks or more).
Earlier with 5.0.2 it was horrible, especially as time went by, and I was planning to revert to stock Kitkat-4.4.4.
So I want to know others experience regarding phone resposniveness w.rt 5.0.2 in 5.1

6. I am not facing any early Battery drainage issues in 5.1 w.r.t 5.0.2, as reported by some others.
In my opinion, if only it is better. But not sure (feedback only with couple of days usage)
Anyway surely not very bad than earlier.

7. CPU SpyPlus now reports 300 Mhz as min scaling freq, as against 787 Mhz in 5.0.2.
I am sot sure how significant this is. But some people reported this as a problem in 5.0.2
The highest reported freq is 1190 Mhz.

Incidentally some people are referring to this update as 5.1.1 instead of 5.1, here in these & related forums.
I am only seeing Android Version as 5.1 in : Settings --> About Phone Menu.
with Baseband version = MSM8626BP_1032.3116.98.00R and
Kernel version = 3.4.42-g89906d6

So I dont know whether Motorola is released or releasing any newer version 5.1.1 other than this one.
I think people are confusing this with 5.1.1.

I would like to hear other experts comments regarding this.

googled around, but cant find any.most link only give me whole files download, where i only want the recovery image.

In fastboot appears failed to validate system image, after making a new system installation, downloaded file (BRASIL_XT1033_5.0.2_LXB22.46-28_cid12_CFC.xml), how do I recover the system?

I am using XT1033 model (INDIA), I got the Update notification today so before downloading it i made sure that i unroot my device (MY PHONE IS ROOTED AND BOOTLOADER's UNLOCKED), I did the unrooting process using the inbuilt function of SuperSU app. After that i rebooted the device the superSu was gone i checked the root status with root checker which confirmed my device was NOT ROOTED ,. After that i started the OS update it downloaded the 208 MB file then as usual started the installation and in the middle of this process the boot animation popped up and my phone rebooted and flashed the message "THE UPDATE INSTALLATION WAS UNSUCCESSFUL". PLEASE GUIDE ME THROUGH THE PROCEDURE OF INSTALLING THE OFFICIAL OTA UPDATE 5.1.1.

1- Check if you are in the 5.02 Brazilian version (System Version 220.21.28.falcon_umtsds.Brasil.en.BR). If you are, good! You're on the right way. If not... you have to flash the firmware of this version with this tutorial (PS: Without do the 4.1 and 4.3 parts and do this only if your bootloader is unlocked)

2- Download the file above and put in the root of your internal storage.


OR

2.1- Go to bootloader mode, choose recovery option. Once in recovery option, you'll see NOTHING. Don't worry, press the power button and click in Volume +. Will appear some options, choose "apply update from Sd Card" (or anything like that).

3- Your phone will reboot and you will get the 5.1 Brazilian Lollipop

4- BE HAPPY!

If there any modifications to the system paste (Root, xposed, any system app removed) won't work. You have to be on a 'clean' stock version.

First of all, I'm from Brasil, sorry but I don't speak english very well !

I made some changes in my build.prop and deleted the backup that I saved on the sd card after a hard reset.

Guys , any of you have the original build.prop for this device ?

Device : Moto G Dual SIM ( xt1033 ) with stock ROM LP 5.0.2

I searched the whole web, but I not found that lol ... hahaha

Hello guys,

Recently, I updated the bootloader for the "Brazil - 5.0.2 - Bootloader.tar.gz", not to have problems installing the builds of CyanogenMod 12 . However, I install the cm12.1 and started the problems. When he failed installation of cm12.1 , I wipe and I install android 5.0 by fastboot , and failed , I tried to flash the 4.4.4 and failed again. Now I'm no OS on the device, and can only enter the bootloader mode and recovery mode ( TWRP ) , can anyone help me ? Thank you all.

XT1033 stuck on bootloader unlocked loop, only booting if connected to pc

well my xt1033 had been behaving a little sluggish as of late so I cleared cache from recovery still that didn't do the device any good.
But since the past 2 days I have a new problem with the device, the device will randomly hang and will be stuck at the "bootloader unlocked" screen, it will go into recovery but the same screen will appear if I select any option.

For now , when I connect it with the usb cable to my pc(which has all drivers) it automatically boots without having to dp anything on pc or the device.

model: xt1033 (moto g 1st gen asia)
stock android 5.0.2 (updated OTA)
bootloader unlocked and rooted.

excuse me, I beg info regarding the problem on my own moto g (xt1033)

my moto g often restart itself, playing games or browsing or chat, suddenly restart
My friends say that it must be in a flash back, because it could be crash
However, I have a flash back was just like that
each time experiencing restart, appeared logo "M" at the beginning of the boot, the screen immediately "blank" blue
always like that until a couple of times, but the condition has a flash back
I also had mendatangin service centers, the solution is just a flash back or check the machine
