WiFI Guest Network Sign In

On my other phones, when encountering a free public WiFi access point that requires Username/PW (e.g. airport, library, court, misc Guest access points), the default browser would launch a "Sign-in to Network" page. On the G4, it bypasses the browser (although you can see it open it for a split second to a blank page) and goes into a default Android sign-in screen. The downsides I have noticed:

- Browsers can auto-remember the log in info, this default Android one doesn't.
- Browsers seem to reliably find (and load) every "Sign-in to Network" page, but the default one sometimes just shows a huge red locked icon. I went to a library and court the other day, and it showed this big fat red icon.

So my question is: Is this something we can bypass or disable and allow the browser to handle the sign-in process? TIA!

Bricked and no sign of resurrection

I installed MaximusHD a couple of days ago after my M7 seemed to be developing some battery issues (non of the battery fix solutions worked and I fancied a change anyhow)...

All was working great, battery life was back to normal everything seemed to be running tickety-boo. Today I tried to send a movie via Localcast to Chromecast. ** BOOM ** black screen. :( Nothing seems to revive it right now. I've tried

Power + top volume button - over 2 mins...
Power + bottom volume button - over 2 mins...
Power + top & bottom volume buttons - over 2 mins...

No power LED when I plug it in to the wall socket or the laptop. It's not recognised on my lappy... It had a decent charge on it before it k-put.

Anyone offer any other ideas guys :rolleyes:

single sign on on any apps. Possible ?

Most of users uses several apps on their smartpones, which require authentication (most of the time, login and password).

Some password management applications exist (keepass or dashlane for example), but these application require actions from the user (typically copy and paste the login, then the password).

Is there a way (I mean is it possible, regarding how android system works) to make this automatic ?
For example, declaring first in a "SSO application" the apps that require SSO, and then when the apps is launched, the SSO application should automatically fill the login and the password in the fields of the authentication interface of the apps ?

My dev team told me that it isn't possible. I feel that it is....

So I ask you, experts, if this SSO approach can work on android ?

How to avoid the sign up process to Hulu on fire TV?

Yesterday, I noticed that if I follow the instructions on screen. I can sign up a Hulu account. finally, the billing will be charged from the credit card which is attached to my fire TV's account.

Because I just want to watch Netflix, I am afraid my son will sign up a Hulu account. How to avoid this case?

Help! Can't sign in to google

Hi,

I'm unable to log in to my google account on my phone. Over the last week, I've been having persistent sync issues with google inbox and I noticed other sync issues on the sync screen. I assumed it was something to do with the phone software so I've factory reset. However, now I can't log in at all. I have tried two accounts and wifi and 3g.

My phone goes to the checking info screen and then I get the
Couldn't sign in.
Can't establish a reliable connection to the server.

Any suggestions? The phone's a OnePlus One running the lastest official Rom.
