[MOD] Sound volume Headphone Boost

as I had the M8 before the Note 5 I felt how less the volume levels compared to M8 especially on headphones
so I moded mixer_gain.xml in system/etc to get much higher volume even higher than the M8 ;)
so decided to share because why not
the only issue I had is that the music stops when you max the volume with some devices (like my car's AUX) the only one though so if you know a fix I would be very grateful if you share it

instructions just copy the xml file in the zip attached to system/etc
or simply flash the zip from recovery and hit thanks that would be helpful to me :)

Headphone gain?

Hello guys im wondering if its safe to add a bit headphone gain using kernel adiutor?

[Q] Quality of the headphone jack on the MXP

In terms of 1. the sound output on the headphone jack (sound quality, output volume). How does it compare to other phones that you have owned? How does it compare to the iphones with the best headphone sound quality such as the iphone 4 or the iphone 5s.

and 2. build quality (is there an inner ring made of metal inside the jack ,completely flush with the metal contact part of the plug, to stabilize the heaphone plug?). Is the headphone plug stable enough when plugged such that it will withstand prolonged usage?

Headphone Jack & Speakers Problem

Hey all,
So I was using my 32GB Nexus 7 (2013), and the speakers weren't working at all. I tried playing different audio (music, videos, system UI sounds, etc) and none of it was making any sound. I also tried doing the same through the headphone jack, and nothing was being played either. I tried many different ROMs (MIUI, Cyanogenmod, Stock) to see if it was just a software problem, and it still was occurring in all three. In MIUI, there was a headphone jack icon in the status bar, so I know the system recognized there was something in the headphone jack whenever I plugged headphones it. It just wouldn't play anything. Bluetooth audio works perfectly fine though for all of the above though.

I'm not sure how to go about fixing this issue or even if I should. I'm assuming it's a hardware issue, but I'm not sure if I should attempt to replace anything in it. It seems like too much of a hassle for an old device, plus I wouldn't want to break it altogether. I'm tempted just to buy a new tablet (maybe the Nexus 9, not too sure on that) and just use that as sort of like a car dash mount for GPS, music, etc. since the bluetooth works perfectly fine.

custom kernel headphone poweramp stuck at -6

i'm using ressurection 777jon kernel and ressurection remix rom, and in synapse, my headphone poweramp is stuck at -6, whenever i try to change it it would return to -6, which makes my headphones sound very tiny, when they were really loud before, do anyone know what is causing this ?

Tf701T Headphone jack noise

I'm having an issue with my tf701t when I use headphones in a quiet room. I can hear a constant buzzing. No audio playing and it changes frequency with the cpu load (launching apps, touching the screen) . I've tried different headphones/speakers all produce this awful noise.

I've rma'd this tablet four times now and the noise is still there... They have replaced the headphone jack, motherboard,ribbon cable and just replaced the entire tablet. They said they could not reproduce the audio issue I am having and sent me a video showing that in fact they couldn't reproduce the issue......:eek:

Maybe someone knows how I could make it work properly like they have, possibly different cable?

LG G4 dock that I can use the headphone jack?

Is there any dock out there that I could use the headphone jack on my G4 while it's docked?
The problem is its placed at the bottom.

Headphone jack not recognizing headset

PROBLEM:
Essentially my phone has stopped recognising when headphones have been plugged in, but the headphone port isn't broken since it plays audio through both the speakers and the headphones at the same time. I recognize that this might be a hardware problem, so I'm just looking for a temporary fix. Ideally a small app that allows me to toggle where the sound is played through.

SPECS:

• Rooted android 4.4


• Cubot s308

ALREADY TRIED:

• Checked headphone port for dust/debris using a light, wiggled inside with a cotton bud and so on


• Tried a few apps, notably 'sound about' which doesn't actually change anything


• Other headsets - all I have tried have the same issue, so its not a headset issue

All other posts I can find are where the headphone out is permanently on, or where the port just doesn't work, so any help would be apreciated.

Back in the day a lot of Android phones can send video line out via the headphone jack, is this still a thing? Specifically with the G4?

Chose the tab Hardware Testing
Click Audio

Here you can adjust the max volume output for different parts of the system, start with Normal Mode to set the max overall volume. Be careful with the values you set and take a screenshot if you need to restore your values...

P.S! Do i need to say; dont change anything that you are not sure what it will result in! ;)

Note 5 - headphone jack audio performance measurements

Hi guys,

Some hardcore audiophile data here. Measured the output of the Note 5 using AudioPrecision APx525. Some interesting facts and graphs below.

Simply put: it's an audiophile's dream!

• Supports high resolution playback up to 192 kHz. Also FLAC by the way.


• Extremely flat frequency response: <0.03 dB delta upto 20 kHz, <0.35 dB delta upto 96 kHz


• Very good dynamic range: 98 dB at max output level, 120dB at default output level


• Relatively low output level: -8dBV into a 16 Ohm load (for reference, Asian iPhone 6 = -1 dBV)

I still need to measure the output impedance, can certainly be useful for people to know.
