Change Nexus Player HDMI output resolution

I have a UWHD 2560 x 1080 Display, and the Nexus Player would only output 1920 x 1080 resolution, leaving 2 massive black pillars on each side. I know that Android could theoretically support any screen resolution, but the stock rom does not have any settings to change the HDMI output resolution. I have tested sideloading a play store app called "Resolution Changer Pro" but it did not work.

Does anyone know how to do this? Or is there any custom rom that could do this?

AFTV has to be reset daily to output video

Has anyone seen this? It started a few weeks ago.
I use the AFTV at night.. I turn on the TV which is connected via HDMI. The TV will just be a blue screen. The power light on the AFTV will be off.. I can hit a button on the remote, and the power light will come on.. but still no video.. Nothing I can do will kick the AFTV to get it to show video until I unplug power and restart it.

From there, it will operate just fine.. until it sits idle for too long, the power management kicks in, and it wont wake up again.. back to the cycle..

I poked around the settings etc.. I didnt see anything related to sleep mode.. I have screensaver turned off.

Is it possible to increase volume output beyond stock through Bluetooth?

When I stream music from my M9 to my Bluetooth enabled car stereo, the volumes are much lower as compared to radio or satellite. Does anyone know how to increase the output beyond stock max values?

Video output via the headphone jack

Back in the day a lot of Android phones can send video line out via the headphone jack, is this still a thing? Specifically with the G4?

If yes, how do I do it?
