Why i ask for help with things.

I don't have uncapped internet and it's not available where i live.
I have to use mobile for everything i do.
So wasting 200MB on every update or downloading files that wont work is a real pain in the butt.
Data costs are massive.

Every damn time I start with a new phone there is so many people ignoring me and it's a pain in the ass.

Touchscreen doing things on its own while battery is low

I have a Barnes & Noble Nook Tablet (acclaim) 16GB that I have flashed the latest CM 11 stable snapshot onto using ClockworkMod 6.0.5.1. I flashed it by creating a bootable SD card with CWM as directed by the CM Wiki, booted into it, cleared cache and dalvik cache, then flashed the .zip from the SD card. I did not install GApps or anything else, so it is a clean install.

Everything works fine until the battery gets low (around 15%), that's when the trouble begins. The screen will begin to behave very strangely, it will randomly tap, scroll, open apps, type jibberish on the keyboard, etc. and won't allow me to do anything other than hit the lock button. Once I charge it back up the issue goes away. This is not a hardware issue, being as this issue does not occur on the stock Barnes & Noble software. I've searched Google, forums, etc. but I haven't found anyone else who is having the same issue.

Any help would be appreciated.

FCC is trying to ban custom Android ROMs (among other things)

Quote:

Under the rule proposed by the FCC, devices with radios may be required to prevent modifications to firmware. All devices operating in the 5GHz WiFi spectrum will be forced to implement security features to ensure the radios cannot be modified. While prohibiting the modification of transmitters has been a mainstay of FCC regulation for 80 years, the law of unintended consequences will inevitably show up in full force: because of the incredible integration of electronic devices, this proposed regulation may apply to everything from WiFi routers to cell phones. The proposed regulation would specifically ban router firmwares such as DD-WRT, and may go so far as to include custom firmware on your Android smartphone.

My nexus is charging very slowly! I tried a lot of things

A mistery with my nexus
Hello! First sorry for my bad english.
I'm running stock android 6.0 (developer preview 3) by stephanmc.
I installed months ago the twrp recovery wich I currently hace.
Since a few days ago , my phone began to charge the battery very slowly and stop being recognized by the PC.
I discovered that is charging in USB mode when it is actually connected to the wall. I'm using the original cable and charger of the nexus. I have already used other cables and its the same results.
The curious thing is that when this happens ( because if I restart the phone many times eventually works well for a while) is when my phone doesnt boot in bootloader. I discovered that a black screen appears when I reset the phone in bootloader mode. And if I restart the phone many times until the bootloader is visible , the phone charge and is recognized by the PC.
Anyone know what might be happening ? I'm from Uruguay and I have no guarantee!
Thanks and regards!

Things to do before repairing (ROM, backups)

Hi,

my GPS stopped working so will have to send it to Sony to get it repaired.
Now I rooted the phone and installed the debloated 5.1.1 ROM.

Is it necessary to install the original firmware for warranty reasons?
And if so, how do to it most easily?
And is there a way to once getting it back I can easily obtain my current ROM with all APPS again?
I did a TWRP backup, and Titanium Backup of all apps, but I fear I will have to redo all the steps of the rooting procedure right?
Or given it's based on Sony's rom you think I can send it in as is?

THanks!

Things to consider before rooting

Hi
I have a G925I (indian version) and i am contemplating rooting my device

Is there anything I should be worried about except knox trip. , Fingerprint scanner works after root?

I have rooted all my phones and the best performance only comes from custom roms.

My phone on stock rom gives me terrible battery life and runs hot on normal usage. Have factory resetted twice but nothing changes.

I have attached a screenshot mentioning the build my phone is running.

Thanks in advance!!
