No idea about rooting

Hey there,
I am using a LG U+ optimus F160L 20G 4.1.2 JB . The problem is that;

1) I have a korean dialer (which I don't find much troublesome)

2) The messaging app has a limit of only 80 characters and changes to mms after 80 characters
Although i tried switching to other sms apps to avoid rooting but whenever I use any other app, i see the received messages twice. Well i thinks it's because there are two sms apps running. Tell me if I am wrong. Please note that the stock sms cannot be disabled, there is no option to disable it. I can only Force Stop but it will start running as soon as I receive any message.

And 3) There is a lot of bloatware and I want to get rid of it.

So if someone could please help me to root my phone and help me start from the basics.

I have no idea what is going on.

I feel like this error should not happen, I have no idea how it happened, I don't know what to Google for this kind of error so I'm going to straight up post here.

I have read somewhere about the VoLTE (Voice over LTE) is activated but I have checked settings mobile networks and nothing seams to be in there and it all looks the same as before.

Role of apk

to delet 2 tiny files as the phone starts and ready to use.

Those 2 files are deleted by root rights and so save alot of battery ! i bet you wil never see your phone eating up 90% battery by phone / call .

Idea help? Screen cracked

Im so frustrated right now with this phone. Yesterday i was sitting on a bench with a couple friends and when i stood up the phone fell from the bench where i had it resting. The bench itself is only a 1-2 feet tall! and when i picked it up, the screen on the edge has cracked :(

the phone has been in a case since day one (spigen ultra clear hybrid case ) and it wasn't even a hard fall or from any big height!! so i ask myself how strong is the gorilla glass 4 really that it would crack from that height?
I just bought the phone last weekend and i have insurance on the phone but they're saying i need to pay an additional 5 for a replacement? Ive already paid off more than half the phone off, paying that 175 is like buying the phone outright. it just doesn't make sense to me.

any ideas how i can get this fixed? i think paying them an additional 5 on top of the they already get from me is ridiculous. i could put those apart and buy a whole new phone with what i've paid them.

I have an idea for a Xposed but how can I execute it?

Basically, I want to have notification as sensitive on the lockscreen (Using 5.1) but I want to show the image but had the message of the application, Is this even possible? Could someone lend me a hand :)

Xperia T and CM11/12 - Headphones' mic not working. Any idea why?

So, after working out a couple of issues, I managed to have CM11/12(WhiteNeo's version) run pretty much fine on my Xperia T. The only problem I have is that the mic on the OEM headphones doesn't seem to work. For some reason, the sound does come out through the headset, but the mic simply doesn't pick up any sound. Tapping on the phone does work, so I'm guessing the buil-in mic is still working and the phone doesn't switch input properly. Any idea why this is happening and how I might be able to fix it?

Keep in mind that with the latest stock ROM the headphones work fine and that my built-in mic has started to fail on me a couple of months ago and now I literally have to scream into it to have people hear me. Therefore, headphones are the only option I have to use the device as of now.

Any idea on how to charge the P7000 faster?

I don't know about you guys, but charging my P7000 is a struggle. Literally, it takes on average 6 hours to charge from 0 to 100% with the stock charger. I tried many different chargers (Samsung 2.0A, Aukey Quick Charger, Asus VivoTab 8 Charger) and they are all amazingly slow (usually even slower than the stock one).

Could anyone figure out how to charge this phone faster? It drives me crazy to take this long to charge!!!

[IDEA] [ROOT]Updating to OF6 or OF8 - 5.1.1 and KeepRoot

**This is just an idea I picked up from the Galaxy S5 threads that I use to deal with before, I take no credit for it and must divert all the credit to @muniz_ri for coming up with the original idea on the Galaxy S5, I just thought we could give it a try on the S6. I can not try this on my phone personally as I have already updated to 5.1.1 OF8. This process will utilize the FlashFire app. If somebody would like to test this method and give it a try to get results let me know. I'm just trying to get us S6 users to a point where we can update and keep our root. It was possible with my old S5 and thought we may be able to give it a shot here. You MUST already have Root Access to use the FlashFire app**

**Required**
An already rooted T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S6

Set your screen timeout setting to 10 mins before beginning!

1. Place the ROM onto your device
2. Open the FlashFire app and "Agree" to the Terms and Conditions.
3. Press "(+)" twice to bring up the "Actions" menu.
4. Press "Flash Zip or OTA" and locate and select the ROM. Leave "Auto-mount" unchecked under the "Options" menu and press the checkmark to continue.
5. From the main menu Uncheck all options under "EverRoot" and set "Reboot" setting to *"Download."
6. Press the lightning bolt then "Ok" to begin the **flash .
7. Once the flash is complete and the device reboots into "Download" mode, flash the OC9 or OCG bootloader using Odin's PDA/AP slot.
*If you are already on the OC9 or OCG bootloader, set "Reboot" setting to "Normal" and skip Step 7.
**The screen will turn black then display the contents of your system before beginning the flash. FlashFire will pause for about 1 minute while flashing the "system" partition.

Once complete your device will reboot and pause on the T-Mobile splash screen for about 1 - 2 minutes (10 - 15 mins for DeOdexed version) before completely rebooting. Done!

Tip: for blazing fast speed turn off animations from Developer Options and reboot!

Issues:
Unknown at this time,no testing has been done on devices yet,this is just a starting point.

Notes:
1. The above process should not affect your Knox Warranty Flag but no testing has been done as this is a concept still.
2. The process will update your Modem, Non-hlos, System, Kernel, and possibly Stock Recovery. The bootloader will not be updated to allow for downgrading to previous firmware versions.
3. No need to wipe prior to flashing! The ROM will automatically perform a factory data reset.

5. I know the previous note said "Locked Bootloader" devices but I thought its worth a try on our phones.
6. This is VERY EXPERIMENTAL on our devices and would need somebody willing to try flashing a stock rooted ROM. I personally can't. I'm just trying to bring the capability to update without losing root on our S6's.
7. I am not responsible if you create an expensive paperweight, you're phone fries,you're phone starts dancing "Watch me whip,watch me nae,nae," etc.etc.

Tool for creating pure android ROM. An idea for Google Android guys.

Today, I have some business ideas for Google Android guys..:)

Idea
A tool (a desktop tool and/or android app tool ) for creating ROM and installing stock android.

This tool basically does 3 major tasks.

1. Reads hardware information of an Android device through the desktop/android tool and creates a stock android ROM for that device.

2. Creates a super user , roots the device , installs the ROM created in step 1.

3. Provides an option to keep/remove the super user after the installation based on user sophistication.

(Alternatively, tool will install a generic stock android and then look for appropriate drivers for the device after the installation)

Why do we need a tool ?
Here is what I found while playing around with stock android.

1. Majority of handset manufacturers simply don't bother provide updates . Even if they do, its ridiculously delayed.

2. The UI created by most manufacturers is not innovative or user friendly. They are loaded with ridiculous amount of bloatware. Since they don't bother to provide timely updates either, end user is stuck with an older version of Android regardless of device's capability to support newer versions of android.

3. For an average user, there is no simple way to install a stock android . Users are in mercy of tech forums and developers who volunteer to create custom ROM. Expecting a ROM from volunteers for all devices out there is unrealistic . Trusting those ROMs is another biggest concern as well. Despite the volunteer efforts , installing a stock android ROM still needs some level of IT knowledge , not the cup of tea of an average android user.

4. There is no generic stock android ROM. Reason perhaps is that, creating a package with drivers for thousands of manufacturers would be practically not feasible as the package size would be enormous.

User Experience
An end user who wants a stock android doesn't need to be an IT guy and the tool should be simple to user. Example : Click a button that would read hardware and create the package, next user interaction is a prompt asking the user to install the stock android ROM. All other user interactions such as retaining super user etc is an an option for advanced users.

Manufacturers
Any custom UI or App package a manufacturer wants to push for their device should be updated as App package from manufacturer over a pure android . (Example : Once user install the stock android, manufacturers like Samsung, can push their app like Galaxy gifts etc as a package. )

This would shorten the development cycle for manufacturers as well. Thus updating Android for their device becomes purely a app package for an android version , rather than individual device.

Advantages
For users, clearly the benefit is the ability to have most updated software and experience of pure android and freedom from abandonment of device from manufacturers.
For Google (and Android as a platform ), one of the biggest competitive disadvantage is , its fragmentation. One of the reason for fragmentation is that, for a large number of devices, simply there is no easy way to update the software. The tool could help solve fragmentation issues.

The tool may be included as part of Google's attempt for Android One initiative. Certainly , no explanation is necessary on how it benefits Google from having one single version of android in all (or at-least as many devices as possible) android devices.

For now, that's it . When i am free, I will post the details on how exactly they should do it .
