Sluggish network performence on new Samsung Galaxy Tab S2?

I have had the new Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8" for a a week or two now. One thing I notice very clearly coming from a Nexus 7 or my Moto X 2013 phone is that there's a delay in all network connections. You can even see it when you use the devices side by side on the same wifi. It happens in the browser, in all apps and so on. If I open a profile on OKCupid for example it will take about 5-6 seconds on the S2 but on my Nexus 7 it's 2 seconds.

I'm not really sure what could be wrong. Any ideas?
