I have an idea for when you flash zips in recovery. When you flash a zip the recovery automatically backs up the files/folders that are changed. That way if something goes wrong you don't have to backup/restore the whole system, just what was changed.
A similar idea is when something goes wrong where you have to clear your data (not system data). Instead of wiping the whole lot, why not have an option to wipe just the data that is the most common causes for bootloops. That way you keep files that aren't a problem (photos and files etc.) and all your logins.
Or is this not possible and that's why it isn't done that way?
