Request Stagefright Patch for 4.4.4 ROM

Sorry for my bad english

Need Advice- Moto G (2nd Gen) Stagefright patch on rooted device incoming..

Hello folks..

I have a Moto G (2nd Gen) mobile phone with me, and had its bootloader unlocked + rooted pretty much within the week i purchased it.

I was under the impression that once the bootloader gets unlocked, i wont be getting any official upgrade notifications like that for Android Marshmallow etc. But today i been bombarded with the patch for the 'Stagefright' bug like crazy. Ignored it 4 times, but it again popped up.

Before i install it (it has been downloaded and ready for action), i just wanted to confirm if it ll be alright to go ahead with this patch? Dont want any silly boot cycles/bricking to crash my device

Question about lg leon and stagefright patch...

Hello, I have a lg leon phone I rooted and I do not know how to get the stagefright patch for it since the device will now not accept the OTA updates because of rooting. Can someone tell me or show me help to get this patch installed. I rooted the device with kingroot and aside from backing up apps using Titanium backup I did not do any backup methods for the phone. I am guessing I will be forced to do a clean setup of the phone now? Can this be accomplished with the phone in its current state if required to install the stagefright patch? Please have patience with me as I am new to rooting and probably made some mistakes. Thank you.

Stagefright patch moto x

I was wondering if anyone got the stagefright patch as its soak testing has started.

kitkat nc5 schi545 w/ stagefright patch?

Hi, I'm rooted on nc5 / kitkst 4.4.2 and I would like to patch my phone avainst the stage fright vulnerability. Is there a rom I can upgrade too or a patch I can apply to do this? I have disabled stagefright in the build.prop but some are thinking this might be insufficient and I'd prefer to be patched. I dont like the 5.x builds, they disable the lockscreen audio controls.

M8 Stagefright patch apply to s-off, rooted, unlocked & Stock

Hi,

I see the Stagefright patch came out today. I'm on Stock Rooted Lollipop with S-off and unlocked. My phone was able to download the patch but then went to TWRP recovery so no dice.

I'm aware of the process needed to get the OTA to work. Just wondering if any side-loadable forms of the Stagefright patch may be forthcoming from some of the genius developers around here. Obviously want the fix but not so sure about having to undue everything on my phone.

Otherwise, is the best suggestion to reflash stock recovery and then take the OTA? IS it true this won't re-lock my phone or S-On it again? Seems if these remain unchanged from current state I would have easier time.

Thanks for ANY advice. Always appreciate it.

Stagefright patch for SGH-I337M Galaxy S4

Thought I'd share this for all my fellow Canadians;
Its a flashable zip that include the latest stagefright patches extracted from the recent release; RWC-I337MVLUGOH1-20150904185330.zip (Rogers)
Should work fine for all I337M model phones.
I tested this on Goldeneye rom OD7 and all is well again :)

Make sure you have a working recovery backup before flashing just in case.

Cheers!

Why in the hell is T-Mobile getting a Stagefright patch before vanilla h815?

I just dont get it. The device manufacturers always want to blame the carriers for patch delays. So here I am sitting on my international H815(eu) figuring since this is a broad scope device it will get the update before the carriers specific devices. Then today I see T-Mobile's model is getting a stagefright update. WTH?!!? Anyone got any good insight on whats going on here?

Stagefright patch question

I have AT&T, rooted but otherwise stock ROM. System keeps D/L the stagefright patch. Does anyone know where the file goes? When the M9 reboots, it goes into TWRP and the patch never installs. Can I manually select location from inside TWRP? If it's saved in an inaccessible location, a link to manually D/L the upgrade file would also be most appreciated. Thanks!

Stagefright patch?

Hey all,

I'm running the latest XEF firmware (COH2), but even this firmware doesn't contain the stagefright security patch. Does anyone has a clue when we can expect a security update?

Greets,

Stagefright patch from other carriers

Since basically every other carrier (AT&T, Verizon, Sprint) have already released Stagefright patches for the M8 and some even M9, rather than wait for T-Mobile's lame pathetic ass to get onboard with security, would it be possible to copy over the patched libraries from the other phones OTAs?

The AT&T update only weighs 28mb total, is it at all possible to extract the libs needed or are we waiting until next year (come on be realistic, you know it's not coming this year) when they decide to release Android M with Sense 7? I could care less about flashy features and other bs that is irrelevant, but for them to just overlook security updates is a real real b*tch move

What can we do, other than flash to cyanogenmod
