Can I upgrade my rooted Asus ZF5 to Android L manually?

I couldn't root my zenfone 5 when it was lollipop . Then I downgraded to 4.4.2 and rooted successfully . When my phone was unrooted I upgraded from kitkat to lollipop by downloading zf5 official lollipop firmware from their website and pasting it into internal storage . Then it updated by itself. But now my phone is rooted kitkat . If I do the same process for upgrading I mean if I paste that lollipop firmware again into internal storage will it be upgraded? I want to upgrade and as well as root . What should I do? Thanks in advance .

I have an unlocked LG G3 bought from Amazon UK.
It is currently on Android 5.0 and I was waiting long for 5.1 or 5.1.1 but it seems it won't be updated soon automatically.

Can I manually update to 5.1 or 5.1.1? Does anybody know where should I download the official firmware?
I know the website for all Samsung firmware but not sure of the LG one.

Software version of my G3 is V20i-EUR-XX.
