Widgets Freeze

Hi. I have noticed that widgets do not work properly on my brand new Moto X Play. You can add a widget, but it appears frozen and the content does not update or allow interaction. If you modify the widget size, it will stretch the image of the widget, again failing to update the widget. Depending on the widget, it will bring you to the app of you tap on it, but sometimes even that does not work. Deleting and replacing widgets makes no difference. Using Nova launcher appears to fix the issue, although I have not tested this for a period as long as an hour yet.

This seems to be a widespread issue across many phones, including Samsung and Nexus phones, thus is appears to be an Android issue more than a specific Moto issue or a hardware issue. It is possible it is a Google Now Launcher issue specifically.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue or know of a fix? I have yet to find one other than rebooting every hour or so (or possibly switching launchers). The leading theory is that the widget process is being kicked out of memory. The scary thing is that this bug has been reported as far back as Android 4.3, although I never experienced it on my SGS3 with CM11.

Thanks

Nexus 9 crash and freeze on game

After been using for several months my nexus 9 and without installing any new applications, my tablet suddenly started to crash with different programs at different times....

The crash comes as a white screen with humming loud sound... that needs to be reset with the 10 second button.
After reset, it starts normally as if nothing has happened.
Any recommendations on how to solve this annoying problem?
Thanks in advance

GPS/NAV/Google Maps Freeze

Hey gang,
So I've been rooted for... well however long its been available on our wonderful LG G4 VZ. I have successfully installed exposed along with all the standard tweaks per my liking. Here's my issue. I came across an app called Pimp my Rom, and believe it is the source of the issue. There is a GPS tweak similiar to the GPS.conf tweak you'd manually use or one of the root apps for GPS on the play store. Well ever since I have found that upon launching Maps, the app freezes within seconds. No matter what I do, reset device, reset device settings wiped app reinstalled app. Even waze won't work. Without a custom recovery I can't just reflash the "Rom" to overwrite any system tweaks.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

What Files to Remove / Freeze to prevent OTA?

I know that someone posted it on here (XDA) or so I thought. And I thought it was AutoPrime that posted something, but I can't seem to find it anywhere by searching and since things have been divided by carrier maybe I'm just missing it and maybe the one posted doesn't actually apply to the TMob G4.
So maybe MicroMod or someone can post the file changes to disable OTAs on the H811.
Thanks.

Did I brick my phone following instructions on apps to freeze?

I'm freaking a little here, so pardon me. Battery life on my phone (even with new batter(ies) got terrible (less than 16 hrs) so I looked through a post at http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2483927 for apps I could freeze , froze them and rebooted. Now my phone gets to the big white V over the word VERIZON on a red field and just freezes there. When the phone started before, when the Samsung "Galaxy Note 3" logo came up, it said something afterwords - I don't remember the wording, but it started right after I rooted. It had something to do with the rooting. Anyway, apparently something I froze had to do with the proper operation of the rooting. So now I think I need to start the phone in some kind of "safe mode" and undo what I'd frozen. I just have no idea at all how to do that. I managed to get it into safe mode once, but it only stayed there a few minutes and then went right back to the endless V. I haven't been able to get it back into safe mode. It doesn't respond to the keys after I power it up - although I CAN get it into recovery mode. When it was in safe mode though, it showed no menus or icons and being that it didn't respond to the keys, I couldn't access any apps. I'd even be more than happy to just flash back to defaults (unrooted) but I have no idea how to do that either. I've got no phone right now - and I have another 2 years to pay on a piece of crap I can't even use.

This is a rooted Note 3. I don't remember what method I used to root it - I didn't know they were so different, but I know towelroot was installed. Any help would be VERY much appreciated.

Download on official site last firmware for i found on the internet that is the problem. Unzip, copy on sd card, put sd card in tablet, press volume up + power but nothing happens. Only freeze on boot screen and will not continue.
