Restore Original Mac Address On Custom Roms (Solve WiFi Dropping)

Restore original MAC Address

1- Open /data/etc/wlan_macaddr0
OR /system/etc/firmware/wlan_macaddr0

2- Copy it's content. Ex: 01:12:13:14:15:16

3- Open /data/misc/wifi/WCNSS_qcom_cfg.ini

4- Find this line

Intf0MacAddress=000AF58989FF

5- Replace 000AF58989FF with the content of wlan_macaddr0, but write back to front. Ex: from 01:12:13:14:15:16, write to 161514131201. So it will look like this

6- Save & Exit, Reboot the phone

Verizon dropping to 1x and !

Have not seen any mention of anyone really having data issues. However this was my experience once I was rooted. Of course all the proper settings in networks tab. Thought maybe a bad sim as I had it for awhile and cut it for the MXP. Verizon swap no problem. Leave the store and ten minutes later it happened again. While rooted I only had gravitybox and viper installed along with kernel auditor. Uninstalled them no change. So here I am now after a factory restore and no signal drops whatsoever. About to reroot and go step by step to try and trigger again. Besides returning phone for what I think is software related is there anything else I am missing to setup after rooted that is tainting my setup. Maybe a rom would help. But not too many days left for Amazon 14 day return on cellphones. This is last resort as I love the phone. Thanks for any assistance.

[Q] Randomly dropping calls

Hey guys !

I have a problem with my Nexus 6. I'm running stock 5.1.1 unrooted with latest update(48M) and keep getting dropped calls (I only use 3g). It doesn't happen all the time, today I got 4 dropped calls. I'm not quite sure what's the problem. I have the phone for 1 week and I'm not sure if that's a hardware or software problem. (I also had Chroma installed and had the same problem)

Are you guys facing this issue?
Is there any thing I can do?

Wifi dropping issue

Wifi just drops while using the phone sometimes it comes back when i turn on and off the WiFi but it goes again after 3-5 odd minutes ....any suggestion guys?

One plus 2 wifi dropping issue

Bought the phone this Monday.... It was good 2days...... Now I'm experiencing wifi drops :( and night the phone just drains the battery .......

Network dropping?

Just got my pure yesterday and it keeps giving me connection timout with WiFi. It seems like it does it after it sits for a bit. I made sure WiFi is always on as well. Anyone else seen this?

Phone can't or keeps dropping turbo charge

Trying to charge my phone with the turbo charge but it just keeps dropping. Charges for about a second and then drops. Tried several different TB's but still get the same results. Used a regular charger(non TB) and it works fine.

Thinking the phone may have overheated and messed up a sensor or I just got a defective batch...

Is anyone else experiencing this problem with the TB?

EDIT: I've even gone and factory data reset the phone but problem persists.

Alcatel OT Fierce dropping network overseas

I have an Alcatel One Touch Fierce, originally T-Mobile, currently unlocked, stock ROM (4.2.2) rooted. It had no connection issues in the US or in Germany, but anywhere in Israel after boot it connects to the mobile network for only a fraction of a second, just long enough to receive a bunch of brand new notifications, and then it immediately drops the network and can't find it again. It does this both on a T-Mobile sim while roaming, and with a local sim.

I was unable to find any posts with similar issues for any handset, and I couldn't find a dedicated forum for my device to make a post. If I could get any help with this that would be amazing, thanks.

No service after dropping my phone

Hello.. I dropped my nexus nothing happened to the body except that I had no service on 2g..when I switch to 3g I have a reception... Can someone please help me
