Minimal rom options was development planned to be so minimal?

It's so strange as good of a phone as the s6 is and still a relatively recent release in comparison the s4 S5 seen way more development in less time then the little that the s6 has seen .
Is there a reason for this ?

Bug in Minimal OS

My problem is that I've set a few system profiles and one of the settings is causing "issues". I've set a few profiles to disable security in the lockscreen (remove pattern) and in CM 12.1 this changed the pattern to swipe to unlock but in minimal os it completely disables the lockscreen. Is there any way to fix this?
