why is the autocorrect and keyboard so bad on the note 4?

came over from an old HTC and just took the keyboard for granted, used swype and the autocorrect was pretty ok, helpful, close enough most of the time

been on the note 4 for months now and the keyboard is just horrible, it takes me more time fixing brutal autocorrects and spaces and just messed up text all the time

what is everyone doing to get good usable keyboarding on this thing? is a new rom necessary?
