Volume Issues

Is it me or anyone else notice that the volume is really not that loud for notifications and ringtone? Video and music play loud and clear. If I restart the device its loud. I wonder if this is an issue with 5.1 I know it was with my droid ultra running 5.1 until I went to 5.1.1 on the ultra and the sound was working as it should.
