Dear XDA fellows,
This is a copy of my opening post from the Oneplus forums. It got lost amongst the million: "yaay, i got an invite", "look, my OPT is amazing!" threads.
This is a problem I encountered when trying to flash the Oxygen 2.1 through TWRP (well, 2.0.2 full zip + the smaller 2.1 OTA). I believe this is a 2.8.7.0 recompile by ydss.cn (googling maybe a chinese coder)
The phone is encrypted.
Restarting into TWRP recovery (sadly cannot paste external link) you're prompted to enter the decryption password (similar to when I'd boot the phone). Regardless of the user input, The following error message is recieved: E: unable to mount storage
I am able to acces the phone if I reboot to the system normally.
This is eerily similar to the problem encountered with OPO and TWRP 2.8.6.0 which Dees-Troy kindly crushed and I wonder if this is the same Qualcomm hardware encryption problem just roaring its head again in OPT.
I'm hoping it won't take long for someone to sort this out (assuming it is a similar issue).
If this is also similar to the aforementioned OPO problem, I think one should still be able to flash OTAs either through ADB sideload or USB OTG (but I haven't tried either yet).
Anyone has similar problems?
As the compile is not offical I hesitate to post this in Github or email team win directly. :( (I'd love to pretend I can compile TWRP for oneplus2, but the chances of that are as slim as recieving an OPT invite :D )
