Dropping frames?

Just got my new Moto X and I love it so far. The camera is great, screen is beautiful, It's decently fast. Only issue is that it drops frames like crazy. Not that it slows down the phone, but I always see stutters. The Play Store is really bad, swiping between pages and opening app descriptions always makes the phone stutter. Tinder is the worst though, feels like it runs at 15 fps. Also it feels like I have to push so much more to scroll, than I did on my M8. On the M8 a flick would scroll down the list, here my finger has to travel more, though this could merely be due to the increase in screen size I guess? I don't know, just overall the device feels more choppy than my M8.

Anyone else having these issues?
