"Non-leather" cases fitting on leather backed devices

So, i wanted to make this thread to talk about the cases that dont "work with" leather backed g4 devices. After my previous amazon-bought case started to fall apart i decided to go shopping for a new one. After scavenging best buy racks i only found 1 or 2 cases that advertise use on leather devices. Needless to say they didnt look, nor appear to function as i think a case should. So with my reckless behavior i figured id throw on a case that says it wouldnt be compatible. Low and behold the case i tried, an Otter Box Defender, fits fairly well... The only trouble i had was clipping the parts together which took a bit of force, and the screen protector on the case is a bit loose fitting. But nonetheless works. On my device it even unclips and comes off with no problems. I just wanted to hear other peoples opinions and standpoints on the matter.
