HTC One M9 5.1. Update messing up Power Saver

What is the deal with the Lollipop 5.1 update to the T-Mobile M9? I notice now that since the update was installed, the Power Saver option is no longer is customizable?!! So now you're FORCED to have lower CPU Performance enabled?? WTF HTC?! That's so stupid. This isn't Apple it's Android, so stop forcing ppl who buy your phone to have to put up with slower speeds.

It's bad enough the 810 chip forced HTC to have to throttle/slow down the CPU speed just to avoid overheating (FACT).

If ANYONE knows a way around this w/o having to root, please let me know. Much appreciated!
